Forum Rules

Here at Warhammer Alliance, we want to create a community where everyone may contribute in a high quality manner without the fear of being insulted, taunted, or otherwise driven off the forums. We want to create a community in which all types of feedback, both positive and negative, are allowed. We want to foster the best interaction and the most interesting discussions, both about WAR and about other topics. And we want to create a place where original and unique things are created, as opposed to the same tired stuff you are used to seeing on forums.

By following these simple rules, you can help contribute to this vision we have.

Forum Rules

-No Profanity (4 points) - We filter out some of the obvious profanity, but sidestepping this rule in a way that makes the profanity visible is not allowed.

-No Mindless Complaints (8 points) - Feedback is expected to have productive direction. If you just want to complain for the sake of complaining (i.e. rant), this is not the place for it.

-No SPAMming or Solicitation (4 points) - Flooding the forum with meaningless, low quality content posts, is not allowed, and neither is solicitation or other forms of advertising unless in a designated forum.

-No Topics on the Following: Politics, Religion, Illegal Activity, or Pornography (4 points except for Pornography, which is an immediate suspension) - Self-explanatory. Don't post about them.

-No Disrespectful Posts (8 points) - Insults, disparaging remarks, "flaming", or anything else that fails to have respect for any one person or thing posted on the forum is not allowed.

-No Posting With Provoking Intent (8 points) - Otherwise known as "trolling", this involves posts clearly designed to elicit an unproductive response.

-No Petitions or Thread Titles Addressing the Devs (4 points) - Petitions online rarely generate good discussion or results, and thread titles should describe the topic, not have "Mythic plz read" in them.

-No Public Arguing Over Specific Moderations (4 points) - Use the Contact Us link at the bottom of every page for specific moderation concerns. Do not post about them in the forum.

Please note that these rules are subject to change at any time and are enforced at the discretion of the staff, and that by registering for the forums, you agree to follow them. If you feel a member of staff is abusing their obligation to the forum, or you have other queries, please use the Contact Us form.

A Brief Note About Rule Points (a.k.a. the "Infraction" system)

You may have noticed that each rule has a point value assigned to it. Violation of the rules earns you an infraction, worth the point value assigned to the rule. At specific point totals, temporary or permanent suspensions are issued:

-12 Points - 72 Hours
-16 Points - 7 Days
-24 Points - 1 Month
-32 Points - 1 Month
-36 Points - Forever

Points are not permanent and will expire after a certain amount of time. In addition, forum staff may choose to instantly assign enough points for a suspension, for egregious violations of the rules or policies.

Please note that should you receive infraction points, any response you make over PM will NOT be received. For ALL concerns about infraction points or suspensions, please use the Appeals process.
