View Full Version : Any type of mutations for chosen?

I'm hoping that the chosen will get some type of mutation like the Chaos warrior in the video. If you look at his left arm, I believe it is, you will see that it's mutated where as the rest of him is covered in armor. Will the Chosen be alble to have this type of mutation?

Unless a dev decides to respond to this thread (unlikely), no one can really answer that question yet.

Though, I sure hope so - Chosen is really the only tank I'm interested in playing so far.

I would have thought atleast some small things since the video showed the lizard arm type thing. I cant really see them spending time designing and creating the arm for the cinimatic if Chosen in-game don't get any kinds of mutations.

I sorta hope that mutations are minor cosmetic differences to a chosen, but that's only because I (heretically) wish to prove that my own abilities are effective, not so much the gift of the gods.

The question about chaos mutations has come up before in various interviews. In one they said there would be mutations, but only temporary. They could very well have been talking about the marauder class, or (my hope) that some buffs will take the form of a mutation.

The cinematic was made before they had any idea how the game would be designed. It's just Blurs (the studio making the cinematic) interpretation of the Warhammer world.
For example, there are no playable slayers in WAR, and there might not be Witch Elves. And if there are Witch Elves, they're not going to be as busty as the cinematic one.

Don't base any assumptions on what's ingame on that cinematic. It's just a short Warhammer movie made by Blur to get you hyped.

Chicken feet. What could be cooler than a armored Chosen of Tzeentch with skinny, unarmored chicken legs and feet?

Chaotic.

Damn you and your logical thinking.. it makes me look stupid.

I want a Gigantic Freakin Eyeball in my arm that every once in a while opens up and looks around at things...

At higher tiers, I wanna see Chosen's armor beginning to fuse to their flesh and get that organic, bone-like look in some places. Like the helm becomes their face and twists to look more skull-like, and the horns that were part of the helmet start growing out of control as they come to life.

And if there are mutations that are clearly not resulting from armor fusing to flesh (like the talon hand of the Chosen in the trailer), I still want it to look like part of the armor. In the instance of that talon hand, in earlier tiers it looks as it did, then slowly the armor begins growing over and fusing onto the talon hand.

Man, that would be awesome, wouldn't it? I might have to consider playing two tank classes if that happens(assuming the game mechanics are fun too, of course).

That is seriously such an awesome idea... so awesome in fact I believe Mythic probably would of thought of it before we did. If not, hire this man! ^^

I'm not to keen on that idea to be honest, I'd prefer something like that to be chooseable as I'd prefer to see my mutations in their full glory with out my armor growing over them.

It's a hard concept to get across, but I wasn't saying I want the mutations to look armored, I want the armor to look like it's changing and warping along with the person, since it's so very much a part of what the Chosen is. The armor would be looking more organic but still recognizable as once being normal armor.

Oh, thanks for the positive comments, but it wasn't really my idea, just something really cool I had observed in some of GW's own artwork for both Chaos Space Marines and Hordes of Chaos that I wanted to see make it in.

I think a cool useful mutation that most people might not think of is like a mutation of the sight which could allow you to see what is being casted and how long is left on its count down. Only magic type things though like the mutation allows him/her to see magic its self.

HAHA, Nightmare from SC is exactly what I had in mind as well. The eye on his sword and the decrepit hand.... MONEY!
