2.snotling tied to a stick

I think it'd be pretty cool for them to include Squigpipes.

The official website refers to Squig Herders using bait. I assume the Herder somehow marks the enemy target (with a "throw the bait" skill?) which either debuffs the target or buffs the Squigs attacks on the target.

If that's how it works, I hope there's a throwing animation that goes with the skill. It would be fun to lob hunks of meat at the Rune Priest and watch the Squigs go berserk.

my vision of baiting is brought to you by "the dukes of hazard" stick squig food on arrow shoot arrow at target squigs go nuts on target

Now THAT would be awesome. I'd love to shoot food at a target and watch my squig go nuts trying to get it!

That works too, although I like a little variety to my animations. Mixing up 'throws" with "shoots" adds flavor. I don't think a "shoot the bait" animation would look too different from a normal shot. But it's not a big deal.

And wouldn't it be funny if, when the enemy has the bait thrown at him, he hears a sound of meat slapping him in the face? That would his cue to say, "Oh %$#@! here come those $%*& squigs!"

It appears that there is some sort of buffing item you can use on a squig to make them larger...I'm just basing this on the recent video blog where we see a greenish-blue squig suddenly go poof in a cloud of green smoke and emerge almost twice as big (taller than the squig herder by that point).

Ya know what'd be betta? Sticking Squig food on an Arrow, firing arrow at enemy in the back line of defense, and sending your SQUIGGOTH into the battle, knocking everyopne helter skelter until he reaches his target, which he gulps down his massive gullet, then going pshyco on everyone around him cuz their bleeding like crazy from getting gored by the Squiggoth

Even being a squig herder that sounds overpowered to me...would be extremely fun though

I'm a WAR newb, never played the game before, but some type of item that would make a siege engine squig sounds very useful.

Yeah especially if there are gonna be sieges and stuff, and when you go into a siege every class gets a special ability to go with it, depending if their attacking or defending 8-)

Im hoping squig herders will have some sort of melee ability. Im not saying the ability to tank but maybe a spear or daggers. Also i want some non squig offensive skills. Mostly for bows of course but maybe some skill for a dagger or spear. I will be dissapointed if all our skills are squig based.

You're in luck, squig herders will get spears to go along with their bows. Or at least, thats what we've been told so far.
