Hey everone,

I was wondering about Squig Herders, and I saw a few abilities and stuff, but go to this page:

You'll see we were talking about the Morale bar, I suggested Energy instead, but what do you guys think?

I stand by my post in that thread. All classes get morale, and they all should, imo. If you wanted to give them energy as another bar, like WAAAGH!!! or momentum, maybe... But why bother with that, really? Do they need another bar to keep track of? Personally, I don't think so.

If you want a bar that goes down with use, try Action Points, that everyone gets. Because thats exactly how that will work.

Whaddya mean? Ok I'm so totally confused about this, it seems that Morale increases the power of my attacks (or is that just choppa?), while Action points are like mana or energy from WoW where it goes down with use...?

Also... ANYONE WHO VOTED THE THIRD OPTION, I SAID SPECIFY!

just kiddin, but I would like it if you could so I can put a real suggestion up.

All players have a morale bar, and all players have a set of "morale skills", depending on class. These skills use up your morale to do certain things, like the black orc skill, Quit yer in. (http://war.gamewikis.org/wiki/Quit_Yer_in%27) Your thinking of the choppa "berserk fury"(working name, I believe).

This BF has its completely own function from morale. If I understand correctly(please correct me for any misinformation I may unknowngingly spread), the more furious you are, the more skills you have open to you choice. The most powerful attacks will use up alot of fury. Also, I'm very unsure if this is true or not, but I recall hearing that your plain attacks will also do more damage with high beserk fury. Choppas, and only choppas will get beserk fury.

While similar to morale, if you play a choppa, you will have BOTH morale and beserk fury. If your a black orc, you still get a morale bar, and cool morale skills, but they will be diffrent than those skills of a choppa or a runepriest or a marauder, though all of those characters will have morale skills.

And yes, action points is exactly like mana/energy in WoW, from what I can tell.

I believe the two types of 'energy' are called morale and ability points. You start with a pool of ability points that regens somewhat quickly, whereas morale starts at 0 and builds up. This inverse balance provides some interesting balance between blowing all your stuff early and building up to massive abilities. You can't afford to fire all your guns immediately, but are the same time you have to make sure you don't wait too long.

(sorry for linking to another fan site)
Check the screens at www.war-rvr.net for some of the abilities, they show the use of ability points and the requisite morale level.

The Choppa currently does not have its own unique resource bar, at least the Choppa page (http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/gameInfo/armiesofWAR/Greenskins/Careers/OrcChoppa.php) doesn't mention one. Unlike the Hammerer who gets stronger with Momentum, Choppas actually get stronger from Morale.

Choppa Specialty
At the heart of the Choppa is a deadly warrior, but his true power begins to shine only as he lets himself be carried away by the frenzy of battle. As his morale rises, the Choppa quickly works himself into a frothing rage. The more he fights the more berserk he becomes, his attacks bombarding the enemy in a ceaseless onslaught. His frenzy makes the Choppa bold, opening up new possibilities for attack which would be far too dangerous or difficult to attempt otherwise. These moves further enhance his power and capabilities, opening even more potential attacks as the fight unfolds.

Playing as a Choppa
Playing a Choppa is straight forward. Get in the fight, and stay there as long as you can without getting yourself killed. The longer you’re in a fight, the more your morale builds and the more berserk you become. This makes your attacks more powerful and unlocks new devastating abilities. However, the use of these abilities depletes your morale and thus reduces your combat strength. You must decide whether it’s more important to maintain your berserker frenzy or unleash a powerful attack upon your foe. You must also remember that you are less well armored than your Black Orc cousins, and generally less durable. The fighting itself may be simple, but strategy is required to reach and maintain your peak effectiveness.

Fighting Choppas
The Choppa takes time to ramp up to full effectiveness, so it is best to eliminate him early in the battle. If that is not immediately possible, you’ll need to reduce or impede the Choppa’s ability to gain morale and keep him from flying into a berserk frenzy. Using anti-morale attacks will slow his climb to power, giving you the opportunity to take him out before he sends you home hurting.
