Wtf talisman making???....

hi im a talisman maker and a scavenger. i dont have all the mats to make talisman. do i need to remove scavenging? also can i use magic salvanging with the scavenging profession? i dont understand how you level talisman if your second profession cant even provide the items needed. also the profession trainers dont explain anything at all to you so i dont even know what im doing. please help me since the game cant.

This has been discussed a lot already. For talisman making you need items from all other professions except butchering. That way economy and cooperation is required which is great idea imo.

Or make a lot of alts and play solo :p

You don't HAVE to, but the only way to get your primary ingredient (fragments) is to take magical salvaging and to do that, you would have to drop scavenging. And as the other poster said, you require items from every other profession except butchering to create top end talismans.

That being said, it is FAR better to level salvaging than scavenging if you're planning on being a talisman maker. All curios do is add to the overall power of the talisman and increase the chance of improving its stat boosts and duration. Don't be fooled by thinking you found an awesome epic can't live without item when you salvage a curio; you can get them far easier than quality fragments. The rarity of the fragment determines the rarity of the talisman and thus its duration, and to get better fragments and fragments from higher items, you need to have a high salvaging.

Well you can say you need butchering as well, since you need cultivating, which requires nutrients, which I believe are only from PQ's or butchering.
