Butchering after a loot roll

I've noticed a pattern with butchering not being an option when grouped. It's not that butchering is never an option when grouped but it appears there is a glitch where the flies won't appear and you won't be able to loot if there was a loot roll. If you get loot and its just a pick up without the roll, no problem.

Anyone else noticed this?

I just assumed someone hadn't chosen their option yet and so the item was still on the corpse, or else it had personal loot for someone as well...grey items that were left, perhaps.

I have butchering on my shaman and im lvling with my brother who has scavenging on his sorceress. And yes when we have rolled for an item, the corpse can't be butchered or scavenged afterwards.

i have noticed that as well ... not just with butchering ... but scavaging ... when i am solo, and kill the mob on my own .. 90% of the time i can butcher / scavage ... but randomly (i think it is linked to what i loot off the mob) i will not get the option to b / s till a min or two after i looted the corpse ... i think it is more the server is not 'releasing' the corpse to where it can shift to its next stage ...

That has been my experience. Not everyone in the group bothers to roll and the corpse never gets released for butchering/scavenging.
