Keeping colors the same

Has anyone seen any advantage to keeping all component rarity levels the same, all white, all green, etc...?

I'm just curious if I'm wasting my time farming gold seeds to attempt to get more green gold essences or if I should just be using whatever I have available.

The only difference I have been able to see is with the curios and that is with the skill levels and not the colors.

has anyone had one fail yet? I noticed you said something about this but as far as I can recall, I havnt had anything fail.

I have had a few fail. I can only recall about 10 or so out of about 50

The only thing I have seen is it says fail in the emote but I still get magic essence. And that was only in something that was a little higher than what I was salvage to click :)

But..I have only been do this for a few days now.
