In terms of game mechanics, yes. But in terms of Warhammer lore and the WAR back story in general, no. Lrn2lore.

True, but the races on the same side are never going to get the CHANCE to backstab each other in the game, are they? So I say it's time to start making our own lore. Lore that works for WAR :)

WAR is Batman, remember? It can have all the usual elements and keep the feel of Warhammer but that doesn't mean there might not be some differences. The Batmobile has been everything from a fish-tailed Cadillac to a building-jumping mini-tank. It's still the Batmobile.

Besides, when that guild of Orcs shows up to help retake the captured Dark Elf capital no Druchii player is going to be thinking 'Orcs? We will never accept their help!' or 'Foolish Orcs! When their own captial falls we will let it be taken!' And when the Orc city is taken, the Dark Elves will be there to beat down Order and return the favor the Orcs did for them.

Doesn't really fit with the traditional Warhammer lore, does it? And so what? This is WAR, and we'll forge our own lore written with the blood of our fallen foes. :skull:

Only the non-Rpers (which will be the majority of players) won't care that much about it. Of course, on RP servers you will help any allied city under attack, but the races will keep to themselves so as to remaind in-character.

i personally don't think, that this is everything we're going to see about chaos! there'll be more stuff and more new things. remember, it's in development! and even if the chaos chosen really looks like that at the beginning, he will get new armour and will get the look of a real chaos chosen for sure!

It's an NPC though. He's got the green quest-scroll over his head and everything. He might be a NPC-Chosen, but he probably looks a bit different from what player Chosen will.
