What do you think Harbringers will be like? Like hexes that cause problems on the enemy (Debuffs) like for example Guild Wars's "Mesmer" hexes, or simply like little tags for damage over time or damage to be activated by other classes attacks. Well all know these debuffs will filter into healing for our own troops but this is an ovbious mechanic, the more harm we do the more power we gain as our resource rises.

Damage to be activated or some slight debuff that other classes may trigger...

(Sorry for bad English)

A little bit of everything I'd say. So that you always have a useful Harbinger to use, regardless of the situation, and so that you have enough variety that you'd hopefully have to put some thought into which one you choose.

i'm hoping for a wide variaty of debuffs. stuff like: tohit penalties, damage penalties, nearsight, armour penalties. i'm not expecting much in terms of damage debuffs, like DoTs.

All of the above, definitely. All seem appropriate.

Seeing as Harbringers are going to be the main offence for Zealots I would like to see all the above.

Zealots are a hybrid class: I'd say all of the above. Our damage won't be as powerful as, for instance, the magus but we'll have just enough to make it difficult for enemies to kill us.

Hehe, looks like "all of the above" is winning. I voted for it too. I want to be able to react quickly and in an effective way when people start disrupting the complex web of doom I have woven. I want to be able to pull something out of my hat and throw it at the enemy, altering their plan so they have to quickly come up with a new way of defeating me.

In a nutshell, I want abilities that won't make me imbalanced but which will make me a royal pain the arse. Hehe. :)

I'm not sure about the damage to be activated by other classes myself, I'm more confident the others will turn up though:)

If you're referring to Nextrodaets' signature, her art, then yes.
Check out her homepage or send her a PM - she's very talented :)

If you take a look at the current skill-layout for the Zealot, the harbringer looks more like an amplifier of spells to me. As if you curse someon to be your main target, and then the main target takes extra damage, extra debuffs etc.

harbingers are always the 'jack of all trades... master of none'... *i.e. harbinger/dirge/bard/troubador... whatever you want to call it

Harbingers announce the arrival of something or someone else, like a herald.
