Why would I do anything else but stack Intelligence with a little toughness, wounds, and initiative thrown in for good measure?
Intellegence and wounds are what I'm aiming at for my sorc. USUALLY as a sorc in scenarios there's 1 or 2 melee people trying to tear you down. If there's more than that then you should have turned tail awhile ago. Wounds seem to be a better solution for 1-2 people attacking you. Also with the low HP of sorcs to begin with, higher wounds will give the healers more time to try to keep you up. I'm not saying forsake toughness all together, but wounds will definitely be my secondary stat.

Toughness is a stat that gets better the more you have, and the less dps they have. I would only stack toughness as a tank.
Basically think
-25dps
vs 100 dps tank = -25% dmg taken
vs 250 dps dpser = -10% dmg taken
I dont think toughness helps with your burn back mechanic.
In other words if i were a sorc, i would likely go Int/Wounds/elemental resist (bright wiz).
Toughness/Init i would consider throwaway stats, not useless but not all that helpfull.

/agree. I always prioritise Intelligance then Wounds.....and for resistances elemental to help against BW's.
