How to create potions

How do I create potions? I have the Apothecary and Scaveging skills?

To start with you need to put the Apothecary skill in your action bar. Find this under the abilities tab at the top of your UI. Next, open the apothecary window, buy a bottle from a merchant and put it into the top left slot for containers. Next put a salvaged item (has to say 'Main Ingregient' in the next slot down. Next get some cloudy water from the merchant and put it into one of the 3 slots at the bottom. Click 'BREW' button and you will make a potion.

Adding more cloudy water into the other slots at the bottom will make more stable potions but this is not necessary to start.

It took me a while to realise that +25 Apothecary can be assisted with two ingredient slots filled with cloudy water ... I tried for quite a long time with just one and repeatedly failing.

I now use two waters and the NPC purchased ingredient that increases chance of more pots being produced ... and I am now comfortably levelling past +50 now.
