I, and several others, are working hard to develop this page. If you're here to get information, check that page first. If it doesn't answer your question, then check here to see if someone has asked it. If so, consider whether or not it should be part of the wiki!
Otherwise, post away! And I'd love to see people filling in the log on the discussion page. We can figure out what curios do if we all work together!

Also, can we sticky this? Since posting this, we've had two people ask where trainers are. Half the trainers are listed on the wiki, and the other half should be added. We could save a lot of questions threads here.

Much thanks for stickying this!
Now folks, lets go out there and populate the wiki with all the nitty gritty details!

I've picked up salvaging/talisman crafting and all of a sudden my talisman skill seems stuck at 44. I'm just wondering if there is an upper limit on how much you can level off certain materials. For instance, I'm still using the low level materials, so I figure I probably need higher quality materials to get past 44 - is this correct?
Edit: Sorry, I need to learn to read a bit more. My question was already answered in Scooter's excellent thread!

Umm curios are optional? Really? I thought you needed all 3 components slotted before it was even possible to start creation...
No, you dont actually need the curio part (the fragment, magic essence and gold essence are required). However, having the curio helps increase your talisman level, so really its better to have a curio.
Really good guide on the wiki, btw. Is there any chance to have a section on known recipes at all?

A recipe list for talisman making would be absurdedly long since there are multiple combinations for the same talisman, and for much the same reason completely pointless. The frag tells you what you are going to make, how powerful is totaly up to how many points you put into the sub ingredients.
Download that talisman chart jpg and keep it up in the background to alt tab to until you get the hang of it. That chart, and a few brain cells, are all you need to TM.
In case you couldn't find it http://warhammeronline.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Talisman_and_Salvaging.JPG
With a purple skill 1 fragment the most you could achieve is a +18 with all top end sub ingredients.

ok, problem with the wiki... although its probably a dumb question.
under "how to make a talisman" it says "open the window and put the box in the upper left corner" or whatever...
WHAT WINDOW?

First you need to learn the skill "Talisman making". Go to a crafting instructor for Talisman making, called the "hedge wizard", (unlike all the other instructors which are named eponymously). Once you've learned talisman making, click on your "abilities" tab in the top center of your screen; it will appear as a blue hand. It opens a box in the middle of your screen. Click on the tab to the far right at the top of that box labelled "general" skills. Look through all the pages in that (there might not be many pages if you haven't learned any renown skills yet) until you find "talisman making" listed. Left click on the picture by talisman making and it will open the crafting box where you need to put your components.

I found a ware house if info on making a talisman but nothing on the step by step for attaching it to the the desired item. I have clicked and draged, doubled clicked, draged to the tool bar bellow, move around in the backpack...and nothing seems to attach it to the talisman slots on the available equipment.
I'm sure this is so simple, please explane!

Take the item off, so it's in your backpack. Shift+Right Click on it. A window will open that you can put the talisman in. Press the Fuse button. Put item back on.

Anyone else still working on the wiki at all? I have done some updates to the Fragment table from information I have gathered so far. Most likely a whole rework of the page with info for the starting crafter all the way through to the more in depth stuff might be in order.

This would seem even more outrageously dated and incomplete than before. Un-sticky until the page is updated?
