Hi, ive been looking after info for theese marauders for quite a while and ive pritty much dediced that so far, this is my class ;)... And the idea popped up in my head,..

Mutations are "cool" so will all theese no lifin 8-13 year old kids come and play as theese to??? Cuz i don't want that >.<. im an old wow player and bein a rogue (as i was) it was a pain to go to ironforge and see 2000 dif lvled noobs that is a rogue cuz they are "cool" and "undefetable" just cuz they have got pwnd by me sum 2 bf ^^...

What yall think? is this gona be the kid class .:(

I'd say, no. Couse there wont be any dancing emotes (thank MANKIND/EA Mythic/Warhammer/Games-workshop/ etc..)
But! (hehe..) I really can't speak for all people in the age of 8-13 so let's just hope that atleast over 60% (or more) decides to play WoW. ;)

Seriously, what difference does it make? I, as well as most people I think, am more inclined to base my opinions about people on the way they express their thoughts rather than what class they are playing.

If someone denies you a spot in a group just because some preconceived notion of the type of persons playing a class you've chosen, then it's probably not a group you'd want to play in.

On a more serious note, melee dps classes, such as the marauder or the rogue, are commonly a bit less complicated and involve more button-mashing than actual tacs. So if it's an easier class to play, then the kiddies will likely play it. But eh, I think most of 'em will play an elf of some sort. They are more 'pretty'.

Hope I answered your question but of course there's gonna be some kid that plays a marauder at some point. So I don't really see how much of a problem this is, as it will happen, no matter what.

Personally i found on WoW and KnightOnline that the older the player the more immature(Short fuse and elitism) , alot of the younger players showed more patience and tolerance though reacted badly to being patronised by the older players...

in short if you come across someone who is very short tempered or immature show your own maturity level by attemping first to try and get on with them by calming them down in a non-patronising manner if that doesn't work IGNORE FTW :)... or if you have just got back from work or looking after the kids simply straight away ignore the shmuck and go about you business.

lol....I agree with Iogrez. To be honest I didn't understand anything the OP said in that middle paragraph. but, from reading the other poster comments, I would'nt say the maurauder is the kiddy class. We'll have to wait until the dark elf classes are revealed, as I'm sure they'll put the assasin class in. They're not rogues, but they're pretty darn close in my opinion. Also I think all the classes in warhammer are pretty sophisticated. They all require viable tactics to work. Maybe not the Witch Hunter, but I'm sure in order to play the WH properly, you would have to do more than the good old 'two button mash'.

Im sry u think that way, but my english isnt the best. And when i was writing the other post i was in a rush... usualy i speak (write) much in slang but that is because i am 15, and i learn most english from tv^^

And btw, i don't hate 12-year's old players, i just hope it won't be to many marauder's that are immature kids. (im not saying all kids are immature eather.)

I m sorry but your grammar just provokes me to say that you type like 8-13 years old...
As far as i can see,there are going to be a lot of Witch Hunters...and maybe Marauders and some Elves' classes.I don't see how someone playing a "cool" class is going to stop me from playing it as long as i like it.
I played WoW too and even when being a rogue,i didnt see all the 10000 rogues who didnt know how to use their class's ability as a problem.
The only thing that matters is that you like the class and that you like it's gameplay and know how to use it's abilites ( I did meet a lot of rogues who didnt have stealth at lvl 30+,back in WoW).

Oh ya...and if you are 15 ( i am too ),most people who blame stuff on "immature kids" will blame you too...so we are in the same basket with all the 0-18 "kids" .

Well if 0-18 is the ''kids'' im a ''kid'' and to be honest i want to play the ugly and most effective for my playstyle class not the ''cool'' class which in general(Yes im generalising) .. is either elf or some moody human, shouldn't be a problem anyway if you are indeed mature and a well rounded player people will quickly see through the shroud of immature players playing your class and view you as you, wish to be viewed.

In short: Don't sweat it mate, people will see the real you in time.

well being 15 your kid yourself from my own point of view, and i know many 15yo more mature than you i.e. they put more offort in what they write how they think and what they do, this topic was stupid from the very beginning as every class will have its good and bad players

Personnaly I can't say that I care if my class is going to be the "kiddie" class. Because that mean's that i'll get underestimated in RvR by all the other "1337 kiddies" who are like "OMGZ TEH NAB MARAUDRERA, LETZ PWNZ IM".

And coming to the OPs defense... Its pretty obvious, and he said so himself, that English wasn't his original language. So cut the kid some slack with that. It was readable if you read carefully but I don't blame anyone for not bothering.

Now onto the point of his post. I too played a rogue in WoW and know for a fact that it was probably the highest played class in the game. I'm not saying that thats because all the younger players wanted to play it because it seemed "cool" but I do know it was over played.

I believe what his major concern was, is there going to be too many of us (I plan on playing a marauder because of the similarity to the rogue class and my love of melee dps) and if what will it be like to try to get a group for instances in the late game. Its never fun to play the easy to fill group spots but it is fun to the play the class in general. I had problems getting groups as a rogue, I'm just hoping that it won't be as much of a problem with the marauder.


As for the elite like attitude from the older people, I'm 21 and I can guarantee that elite attitudes come from anyone thick headed enough to think that only they and their friends know what they're talking about with whatever game they're talking about.

Stop bickering over age, people. I know some 13 year olds who are pretty mature, and I know some who literally "act their age". Age should not be a deciding factor when calculating the maturity of a person; rather, it depends on the individual and changes from person to person.
