Take a look at the images, I think that the chosen while blessed and chosen by the god shall gain their abilities through their blade, in all the pictures it seems they wield large two handed rune blades... (note the magical effects coming off the blade almost like its breathing magic itself)
Thusly what if the Chosen is a huge big fighter empowered through his blade with other special abilities...
"The Rune Blades of Tzeentch act as the very hands of the great god, Tools of change wielded by Tzeentch's Chosen, these blades not only empower the warriors but allow them to Channel the power of Tzeentch to bring about change the only way his warriors know... With Blood and Force and Gore."

Way I see it almost all Chosen were literally Chosen... the sword is as much a piece of weaponry as a catalyst for the change of the user. Defeat a chosen and take his blade become one yourself...
At least when it comes to this idea

Nope, weapons have nothing to do with the fact if a Chaos-worshipper is a Chosen or not. It shows that they are, but weaponry for a Chosen is like a Sceptre for a King, without the sceptre they're still a King, it's only a status-symbol.
Allthough, unlike a King, the Chosen can enhance his powers with his weapons, but without he's just as extradinary.
He won't simply turn into a normal human if his sword gets stolen or something. And I think if you take the weapon you get a larger chance to be converted to Chaos yourself (with the Deamons imbeud in it), but it is not the breakthrough, I bet any Witch-Hunter could just break the weapon without giving over.

ITs just a thought, and I never said u change back, but I simply wanted to point out that in all the images thus far the chosen are wielding rune blade ish weapons, just looking at them tells you they are indeed alive in a sense. What I was trying to say is perhaps the weapon do play a part in your advancement to total chaos... Look at the history behind other runeblades or living weapons and realize that often times, they are the catalyst of change in an individual. Starts off low, whispers, choices you wouldn't naturally make, then it hits you, you have changed completely from who you were and you love it...

I could see chosen channeling magic attacks through those blades through.

Partially why I suspect they are going to play a roll in the game. At the same time you might see different chosen using different weapons, maybe the choice of the weapon will change the abilities etc.

The main point I remember of Tzeentchian particular warriors (chosen) from old books was from Egrimm van Horstman's (sp) personal army who all personally carried a blade with a strong and distinct purple glow. I can see this in imagery (mental imagery anyways, don't remember any paintings done apart from him alone with his dragon) looking pretty impressive with the sight of the weapons lingering as an army. However in game I'd prefer to keep any glows down to some wispy magical flames serenely drifting from runes and features (I had more of the impression of sole facial features such as a lone eye or mouth on edges of weapons, I just like the small touches) possibly only increasing in ferocity when attacks land and the weapons can taste the battle.
Still that's just how I'd like to see it, I've had enough of really brightly glowing weapons everywhere you could want to look. Bring on some more rusted great weapons beaten from years of use and if something magical is needed I want more originality, try some blades that seem to animate as they're used, the edges taking on an off colour, increasing in size or growing slight barbs as they strike. Hopefully it wouldn't be too subtle to use something like that and actually notice it.

I agree, particle glows on weapons while cool, should only come into play when an ability related to them is used, and when the weapons strike, because especially with intelligent weapons thats when they are at the peak of their power. Personally I would like to see intelligent weapons build and grow through their use, at granting abilities when they have enough use. The point is the subtlety of it needs to be there so you don't end up with abilities that scream in giant glowing effects "RUN AWAY NOW!".
