Rare talisman making ingredients

Lets all share how we found the rare ingredients for talisman making. Obviously everyone knows how to get rare/epic Curio's via scavaging and such. But how do we get rare/epic fragments and essences. As well as higher level containers?

Before you say about the container you need a rank 2 capitol and rank 6 guild. On my server I have both and there was no talismanmaking stuff on the quartermaster.

To get higher rarity fragments, salvage higher rarity gear.

When you looked at the guild merchant, did it have any higher tier craft supplies for other trade skills? If so, should probably bug it.

It had some alchemy stuff I believe. Similar to what the crafting merchants in the main city carry. And I've slavaged some epics and not yet gotten a fragment. I'll continue on though.

Containers = dunno

Fragments = rare salvages chance for a rare increases as the rarity of the item your salvaging increases.

Essence = I think these are only ever blue, higher level from higher level salvage and echo/whisper combines

Gold = Alchemy, Ive made green gold with crit success, but there are also green alch mats that you can combine for these for higher rare chance, higher skill ones also increase the power of the end talisman.

Curio = Scavenge

Ultimately the rarity of the fragment is the most important thing, you can boost the talisman power up to a max based on the rarity of the fragment by using higher level essences or higher level/rarer curios and gold.

As your guild gets higher level there's at least 2 expansions to the crafting supplies the Guild Merchant has. I'm praying they gave us Tali makers some love there.

I've made a purple talisman and some blue ones.

Generally when salvaging you get a fragment that is one quality level lower than the quality of the item you're destroying. When you get lucky you can get same quality as the item.

Then, the fragment generally makes a talisman of the same quality as itself. When you get really lucky you can get a talisman of one quality level higher. I guess some or all of the extra ingredients affect this chance as well as improving the stat bonus slightly.

As your guild gets higher level there's at least 2 expansions to the crafting supplies the Guild Merchant has. I'm praying they gave us Tali makers some love there.
