I am creating this thread to hopefully clear up and educate people who either have chosen, or are debating on being, an Ironbreaker. All of the information in this thread could be changed at any time, and for all we know it may already have been. However, the information in this thread will give you a general idea on where the Ironbreaker class is heading so you will get a decently clear picture of what this class is capable of doing.

The primary special ability of the Ironbreaker is Grudge. Ironbreakers build up Grude against foes as the foes damage the allies of the Ironbreaker -- and the stronger the grudge, the more powerful the attacks of the Ironbreaker become.

As you read you will notice a layout for actions, it is as follows:
Action Name
Description
Action Point Cost (AP)
RangeNow, with that being said, you are probably wonder what these Action Points are. Action Points determine the rate at which characters can use actions - skills, spells, etc. Action points recharge gradually over time, with a higher rate of recharge when your character is not involved in combat.

Tactics are the next area, and they are basically special traits your character develops to specialize in specific areas... whether it be gun damage, gun critical, grenade damage, etc. You can gain tactics by spending points you earn when you level up. You may change them when you are not in combat.

Last, but not least, there will be Morale abilities. These abilities are gained as you are in combat. As you attack and kill opponents your morale meter will slowly rise from 0% to 100%. There are 5 levels of Morale abilities, each at 20% increments.

The Basics

Can only be Dwarfs
Melee
Skilled with agro-holding and damage mitigation
Clearly a tank class

Very nice Actions for the Ironbreaker at Tier 1. Glad to see things such as Harden Armor, Focussed Defense, Guarded Attack, Intercept and Shoulder Bash. For some reason it reminds me of the DAoC Paladin, without the chants. And that is exactly the type of class I want to play.

i was wondering if anyone knew about the grudge points the dwarfs get. are they the same as the action points that u spend to preform basic moves or are they like moral points, or is something completely different?

Retributive Strike
This ability can uses 20% of a characters Morale, and deals damage proportionate to the amount of hit points you are missing. This ability looks like it could make for an interesting last resort. You're about to suffer the dark fate in battle so you use this ability on one of the blokes taking you down. Since you'd be at low HP before dying I'm sure it would do a rather hefty ammount of damage considering the HP difference at the time.

Kind of has a "I'm not going down alone, I'm taking you with me!" feel to it.

Yeah, this skill as it is now I can see being cried for a nerf. Ironbreakers are "tanks"... what do tanks have, normally? A lot of health. Well, if you smash this skill at 2% health, theoretically you could instant-kill nearly all other non-tank classes. Definitely an interesting skill, though.

Unfortunately there is limited information on Chaos classes, but I have posted in the Squig Herder and am working on the rest of the Greenskins at the moment. I would post general information on the Chaos classes, but I did that in the Empire section and I got flamed for it being a pointless post. Apparently people don't appreciate the fact that these threads are growing and not all information is out right now. These threads are merely a place for people to collect and submit information for the greater good of the forum, but hey, some people need to flame to feel good about themselves.

I think you are misinterperting it. Its not if you have 1200 hp and are currently at 100 hp you will attack for 1100 hp. Im pretty sure it will scale with level, so that if you were level 10 and were missing 40 precent of your hp, this attack would add 40 precent of your weapon damage, mechanics similar to that. They wouldnt be so blind to see the highest HP class have a retaliation for there HP totals, that would be beyond overpowered.

Seems pretty cool, Hope we get someone who is adamant about being a great ironbreaker in our guild. Who knows, may even play one myself, still undecided for the most part.

Really considering playing a Dwarf and most likely will be ironbreaker if I am. They are really starting to appeal to me and I do not know why. I think its partially because the destruction tanks are going to be so populated and overplayed, unlike order, and I want to be a tank everyone loves to group with and recognizes. Ive seen videos ofthem and their damage is surprisingly good. I really like the grudge mechanic I think its cool and it will encourage people to both attack me and heal me. Armor is starting to appeal to me over the sick chaos and orc stuff which I can't explain. And finally, this is the most unexplainable to me, i think i like the lore, especially when i heard they live for hundreds of years in the mountain. And I have always been a person who didn't care about lore at all.

Call me crazy, but I am becoming Dwarfified!

Hehe hopefully I will be this enthusiastic at release, but I have changed my class choice so much. Went from chosen to marauder to magus to warrior priest to black guard blah blah alot alot. But I might stick with IB. I am currently set on making a tank as my main so its narrowed down to 6 choices. Want to play something that won't be overpopulated, so destruction is out, unless most of my friends go dest. Want to be able to mix it up, like one day be a damage dealer and the other day be an all out tank (this is why the tnak class appeals to me alot) and want to look cool so elf and Kotbs are out <.< lol.
