Anyone know what adding non-lvl1 soil, water and nutrient do? If so what does each of them do.
An example of what I mean. Like does soil give extra chance that a seed will proc, will water give extra chance to special things proc from it and does nutrient influence the amount you'll harvest?

I believe they give better chances to proc a crit or whatever that thing is called that creates dyes. The higher the level additive, the better the chance, even though it's still very small. They also halve the time you need per stage to go from start to finish, but that is a flat gain, and doesn't seem to be affected by the level of the additive.

I don't think all three are created equal though. I think some plants respond better to soil than they do water cans (and vice versa) while at the same time additives, in my experience, seem more suited towards getting double-gathers (2x the materials from success, not counting seed).

All of this makes me love cultivating so much more... It really should have been a craft and not a gathering skill. Seems like a perfect balance of WoW crafting and FFXI. I wonder if you can get different results by JUST using a good soil, or just using a good water, etc. So far I've only found a few soils on my scavenger and a lot of watering cans.
Does anyone have a list of what drops what in scavenging? Should I be asking this on the scavenger forum?

Yeah, it mostly just gives you a bonus to critically succeed, producing a weed, returning the seed, maybe a hybrid of either, and possibly a dye extract.
