Ulric Cult

Description:

Lesser God; Young Gods pantheon; Brother of Taal and son of the Earth Mother. Ulric is the god of individual valor and ferocity. Lord of Winter, which in the cold northern lands challenges each man to survive on his own. Lord of Wolves, symbol of the relentless hunter who separates the weak from the strong (and the Ravening Wolf of Winter's Hunger). Particularly admired by those who place individual valor above all else and seek berserk frenzy in battle. Worshipped by soldiers about to enter battle, pit-fighters and judicial champions before a bout, peasants to hold off winter's fury, and hunters when after dangerous game.

Ulric is portrayed as a massive warrior, armored in the style of the barbarians who inhabited the Empire several centuries ago, and wearing a silver grey wolf-skin cloak. He can also take the form of a huge silver-grey wolf. Ulric is a distant, harsh and unforgiving god, who expects his followers to stand on their own two feet, putting their faith in martial prowess. He despises weakness, cowardice, and trickery, and expects his followers to always take the direct approach to solving a problem.


Where Worshipped:

Throughout the Old World as ancient god of war and winter. Most common in the Empire, Kislev, and Norsca (there known as Olric). Dominant cult of Kislev and Norsca. Formally dominant in northern Bretonnia until the Myrmidia cult from the south replaced it. Former state cult of the Empire, rivals cult of Sigmar for popularity.


Alignments:
Neutral, Law, and Good are preferred. Evil and Chaos are prohibited.


Friends and Enemies:

Closely allied with the cult of Taal and Rhya, friendly with the cult of Manann. Considers cult of Ranald to be a bunch of craven cowards. Cordial respect towards the cults for other Young Gods and Earth Mother (especially those with wolf familiars). Limited respect towards Myrmidia and Jeanne du Lac as both dilute a warrior's worth by overburdening them with strictures that prevent a warrior from devoting themselves to battle and honor. Coolly correct and competitive towards cult of Sigmar.

A secret faction still promotes the Sigmarian Heresy, the belief that Sigmar is not a god, but a great hero whose reign was blessed by Ulric. Clerics of Sigmar are at best dupes or, at worst, active allies of the Daemons who give them their powers. This doctrine was outlawed as heresy by the Concordat of Nuln, 2304 I.C., ratified by the High Priests of Ulric and Sigmar. This fanatic faction of Ulricans, some of whom are high-ranking members of the cult, seek to restore the heresy as dogma and resume the persecution of Sigmarites.

Barely concealed contempt for the weak Elder Race cults as their time has long passed. Sworn enemies to Dark Children, Humanoid Daemonic, and Chaos cults.


Distinguishing Principles and Doctrines:

A brave man dies but once, a coward dies a thousand deaths. When all else fails, take direct action. A true warrior needs no trickery. Always obey a superior, never refuse an order. Never refuse a direct challenge. "Modern" weapons (gunpowder, artillery, crossbows, fire-bombs) are weapons of cowards and are to be shunned. Bonfires are sacred, never allow the fire of a shrine or temple to go out. Oppose Chaos wherever it is found. Never flee a fight unless facing overwhelming odds and the greater good of the cult would be served by such a flight. War is good, for Man achieves his full potential in conflict. Man must rely on himself, for the Elder races are dying, decadent, and weak.

Afterworld: After death, the spirit goes to a forest eternally shrouded in winter. There, the souls will hunt with the Wolf Pack, battle each other in berserk frenzy, get killed and be resurrected each day. Yes, it's Valhalla.


Temples and Shrines: Seat of the cult is Middenheim, known as the City of the White Wolf. Subordinate seats of the cult are located in the cities of Kislev and Olricstaad (Norsca). Provincial prelates are established in the Imperial City-States (e.g. Altdorf), capitals of the Northern Provinces (e.g. Carroburg), and the larger cities of Kislev (such as Erengrad and Praag) and towns of Norsca. Always built of stone (though older temples in the North and Norsca may be of wood), temples of Ulric are in square shape with a central dome. An eternal fire burns within, kept alive by priests or laymen. The external walls are decorated with battlements, and the doorway surmounted by a wolf's head engraved onto the keystone. Within is a statue of Ulric, flanked by snarling wolves. Usually of stone, they are also of painted wood. The walls have weapons hanging from them, and trophies of enemies defeated by local cultists. Administrative and residential areas are in barracks attached to the main structure. The great temples are often built like castles. The interior decorations are sparse, and usually represent scenes of winter combat.


Saints and Heroes:
Saints and heroes of Ulric are often great warriors who strive against all odds and usually fall in a great battle while killing most, if not all, of their enemies. Some heroes are Ulrican priests who lead others in suicide missions against forces of Chaos. In 2421 I.C., one priest, Gotthard Kepler, led the entire male population -- and some of the women and children -- of the Middenlander village of Kopfkrank in a brave crusade to eradicate the Chaos Warband of Giacomo Bloodhand. They were surrounded and slaughtered, including Kepler (vicious rumor by the unfaithful had it that Kepler died from a lucky blow landed by a Snotling).

White Wolf, Order of:

The Order of the White Wolf was founded in Middenheim following a string of victorious battles against Chaos See the Battle of Middenheim. The survivors of these battles decided to found a chivalric order sworn to fight Chaos, and they chose the name of White Wolves after the city of Middenheim, also known as the City of the White Wolf. The members of this order are amongst the fiercest and most aggressive of the Empire's warriors. Branches of this order exist outwith the Empire, most notably in Kislev. The order is arguably the most numerous and powerful within the Empire, although the Knights Panther may dispute this..

In keeping with the traditions of how their forebears fought and defeated Chaos, the Knights of the White Wolf only fight with large, two-handed weapons and never wear helmets or carry shields. In fact in battle they fight with little finesse, which is so in keeping with the other Knightly Orders who sometimes label them as barbarians or berzerkers. Indeed in Kislev, where Ulric is a prominent religion and where the Order has subsequently spread, the White Wolves are nothing but berzerkers - indifferent to tactics but impressive in hand-to-hand combat.

The White Wolves may not care for wearing helmets or carrying shields but they do wear suits of plate armour and mantles of wolf skin. Their banner was carried at the battle of Middenheim itself and was said to have been dipped in the blood of a daemon the White Wolves' forebears slew, endowing it with magical properties.

Battle of Middenheim:

This battle was fought near the city when the Chaos incursions threatened to overrun the city-state and sweep it away. The Knights of Middenheim stormed out of the city on their fiery warhorses, bareheaded and wielding warclubs, the resulting battle broke the Chaos army and they routed, the Knights smashing the skulls of hundreds of evil creatures. The Knights formed the Order of the White Wolf and this conflict is celebrated every year in Middenheim when the populace gathers on the battle-field for the Feast of the White Wolf.


Ulric's Chosen is a guild that has been around for a LONG time, I would like to say were are more than likely the oldest guild around. Currently guild leadership is under Zacharia Thrax, but we do not have much of a direct command structure besides that. Newer recruits usually listen to veterans, so on and so forth.

The members of Ulric's Chosen were once a proud company of Knights of the White Wolf known as the Gray Company. As honored and illustrious as any of the other companies, and considered on par with the upmost of companies(the White Company, and the Red Company), the Gray Company fell on hard times. Through a great confusing ordeal, one without much hard evidence involved, the Gray Company was sent out into the world on a mission of penetence. For thirty years the Company was commanded to roam the Empire and help, fight, and survive where they could. Not being allowed to recruit for the first eight of those thirty years, the Company is made up now of only a few, the hardened veterans of countless battles. They have shared in each others lives to the fullest, and at some times were called to different directions, but always brothers. These are the men, of Ulric's Chosen.

Basically Draco, we are a company of Knights of the White Wolf that were put on 'penitence missions' due to some supposed transgressions on our part. Thusly you first requirement would be to have your character be a Knight of the White Wolf, and the rest is kind of up to you. Just toss on a character profile and we will review it and look at some of your rping, then let you know what we think.

Stating that possibly WA will not be the final home of our community, which would not be fun as I'm starting to get settled in.

Also as a side note it's definitley offical, thanks to Pendarko, that we are the oldest guild on all three of the forums, along with Lance's Throng. I'd say that's pretty good, wouldn't you? If we ever go in game (I pray after all we've been through), there is no doubt in my mind that we will be legendary. We fought and bled together boys, and I can't think of anyone I would've rather done it with.

As a side note, wtf is up with the "Wolf Pack". Another 'wolf guild'!?! What is this 10 now in the span of all the forums??

I think maybe it's time that we contacted our lost brothers and see if the howl of Ulric still lies in their hearts. What say you?

Ya ya ya...I am just as much a slack as the rest of you. So guys...I was wondering...dont get all crazy about this, it was just a random idea. What you guys think about, I dunno...maybe making nasty chaos human khorne worshippers and go around breaking stuff when the game comes out? It just kind of appealed to me. I will make Zach of course, what would Warhammer be without him? But I think it would be fun if we (being the committed gamers we are, and our mutual liking of big bad warriors) worked our butts off together on the same server when the game came out and got the, ya know, "big mean baddies" of the server reputation. What ya think?

Seeing as how I play a khornate army in WFB the thought is not a strange one to me. But I do believe I will have Ragnald as my main character, but I am always fond of trying different ways of playing. Beeing a badass evildoer is great fun too! I'm game, collecting skulls for the Blood God is a pleasure.

Sounds like great fun Thraxy, seeing as how I'm Horde in WoW and generally like being the evil side (since they are usually more mature :) ). The only thing is if we do that we won't be able to have our humans on the same server (I'm making an assumption though). So first off I will probably make Kohel, and see where everyone we like is going to server wise. So I'm not against the idea at all, I'll make a final decision some time in late 2006, early 2007 :).

I made a quick character sheet and will need more time to flesh it out but it gives you the basic idea. As of now i honestly dont have any RP's in the warhammer world as i am new to the whole thing but with time i hope i can add to the story of Ulric's Chosen

Characters Name: Sepp Nuhr

Age: 34

Race: Human.

Gender: Male

Profession: Knight of the White Wolf

Physical Description: Sepp is covered in scars of past battles with the most distinctive feature being the large scar over his left eye which serves as a constant reminder of Ulric's wrath. He is a man of average height and a war hardened build that tells the past much better then words. Sepp keeps his head bald and feels that long hair only gets in the way of colmbat.

Mental Description: In combat only others of the Knights of the White Wolf show the same intensity.Sepp has been known to throw caution to the wind and engage multiple enemies at one time as he would rather see his life taken then that of a comrade. This might be seen as bravery to an outsider howeverthose close to Sepp know that he is haunted by those who have died in his place and that in battlehe almost carries a death wish for the guilt he feels for the loss of life around him. These ghost's not onlyhaunt him on the battlefield but also in his every day exchanges with others as he as seen by those not close to him as a quiet outsider. Sepp befriends very few as he has seen too many friends die however he does share a closeness with the other veteran's of Ulric's Chosen.

Weapons and Equipment: Sepp's one and only weapon is a massive 2 handed claymore that was blessed by the high priests of Ulric. The handle has a wolf head crafted out of steel to honor Ulric in battle. The blade is very basic with a few blemishes from past battles. Sepp keeps this claymore on his back as it would not fit at his side.Sepp also carries a war horn which he uses in combat to rally the Knights regardless of the odds.

Clothes and Armour: Sepp looks like any other man of the North and wears a basic Plated armor and furs. Aswith tradition he does not wear a helmet or use a shield to honor the forefathers who did not use these items.

History: Sepp knows little of his past before The Knights of the White Wolf however he has some limited knowledge about where he is from. He has Norscan roots and was adopted by a Middenheim family at a very young age. Nothing is known as to why he was given up for adoption nor the fate of his biological family. The Nuhr family of Middenheim did a fine job raising Sepp and showing him the path of Ulric as his father had kept the eternal flame lit for many years. Like all sons of Ulric however Sepp wanted to enlist into the military where he served as town watch until he became eligible to join the ranks of the Knights of the White Wolf. The journey was long and hard but nothing could prepare him for the battles and death he witnessed as a member of this order.

We honestly only have about 3-4 active members right now, but we are respected individuals of the forums. I like the profile. Any chance we could see some examples of your roleplaying abilities? Or are you here strictly for the game?

THis still going, I am a huge fan of Ulric and his lore and would like to join this Company. I am also new to the forums, not new to the world of Warhammer however (though not that well versed in specifics). As for my roleplaying ability, well I am asking in this post if I can reply in that above thread with this character.

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Profession: Knight of the White Wolf

Physical Description: Standing at six foot six inches, Arraken is a mass of muscle and scars. Has long ivory hair that reaches to his shoulders and a grey and ivory goetee, often appearing dishelved as suits the face of war. His eyes are a pale steel blue. Has a faded scar running from above his left eye, between his eyebrows and and below his left eye.

Mental Description: Intense and fuelled by a devout faith in Ulric, beleiving his is greatest worshipped in the feild of battle. When not at war can seem cold and distant as is all warrior's worthy of Ulric. But often can suprise with a suprisingly light and often dry wit. But when the fury of Ulric fills him he is a raging weapon of the Winter's Gods wrath.

Items: Armed with a massive double headed axe strapped to his back, he wears the well maintained and looked after plate armour of the White Wolf Knights. His cloak is the pelt of a wolf whose fur was as ivory as his hair. Carrying with him little but his weapons and armour, does not carry a sheild nor wear a helm in honour of the Order.

History: Orginally recruited into the Middenheim Militia at a very young age, Arraken served with valour. It was not until surrounded by the the forces of a Chaos warband did his true path become revealed. In desperate situation his militia fought and held off the attackers but were losing from each defence. Not until a band of White Wolf Knights charged the larger band from behind did hope seem real. The Militia joined the attack and suffered many losses. In the closing stage of the engagement Arraken felt the touch of the Winter God, hurling his helm at the enemy along with his sheild before charging head long. Eventually he found himself amid what was left of the Knights and they witnessed the fury in the young man, defending his back as Arraken slayed the Khorne Warrior leading the Chaos warband.
Beleiving him worthy of the Order and to serve Ulric, they took his unconcious and badly bloodied body back to Middenheim where he was brought back to health and brought into the Order.

Since the purpose of the rp was people participating I have personally nothing against anyone joining in, but I feel that the question of new recruits is more of Thrax's decision rather than mine. Well I'm pseudo-back :). After quite a few months of WoW and finding a nice niche with a guild I helped found (and also quite a few new friends :P), I decided to check in with my original buds of my first real online community. I'll always feel a special connection with the KOTWW (UC), and won't forget the memories that I have (around 6 years now, eh? Hard to believe I know, and not one finished RP :D!) Anyway just filling you guys in; not to worry I'm not leaving :P. I haven't read the full RP yet, but I might put something up there. I know Mormy posted something awhile back, and I talked to Arkan a few months back, but I assume we haven't heard from Bilious, Grundi (who knows where he is), and the others I can't really recall ( :( ).

Anyway, I dont know if we still have stuff saved from the old website, but I was wondering what old stuff you guys still have. The most I have is old Kohel RP posts from the original forums.

And yeah, the time-zones are a bit distant from eachother, I think there's a 7 hour difference or something between Sweden and the US... But we'll see...

I'll be moving away to a new school next week, will be living there for about a year, to study clothes design. Looks like a nice place and my girlfriend will be living at the same school, so hopefully it'll be a fun year. Don't know how much computer access I will have though, since I won't have a computer of my own while staying there.

Lately I've joined a group at school that teaches medival fencing. It's great fun, I'm learning how to fiht with sword and buckler, axe and spear. Both in single combat and group engagements.
In a few weeks we're going to Norway to battle it out with another group there. We'll be running around in the woods and whacking eachother.

Spent all last evening stitching together a fencing glove from hardened seal leather, to protect my knucles, as it's not a squemish tempo.

I've found this to be real fun, and I think I'll try to continue with it when I move back home, apperantly Scandinavia's largest group of reenactment fighting is in Gothenburg!

THQ announces that they have signed up for developing an MMo for WH40K! http://www.gamespot.com/news/6166560.html?sid=6166560 This might turn out to be cool, but it seems a bit odd to develop two MMO's at the same time, might divide the fanbase too much, so that none of the games get any kind of following at all... Or both games might have huge player ammounts!

Back from a week-long holiday from school. Starting to realise that I don't want to pursue this as a career. Will try to have as much fun as I can for the rest of the year, but I will not apply for any higher educations in the field.

However, I will apply for a two-year education in Computer Graphics Design, based in Gothenburg, starting next year. Hopefully I'll get in, and I can spend the next two years doing things I enjoy, more close to home.

The knuckle of my middle finger on my left hand feels like crunching snow when I press it. It's not supposed to do that, eh? Must have gotten a bang at it while fencing. It seems as the axe has become my weapon for the time being. Would perhaps rather use the sword, but the axe is an interesting weapon, in that it is light-weight, very mobile, and the ability to hook on your oppenent's weapon and shield is highly useful at times.

Anyways, rather a long rant this time. Hope you're doing good.

Easter's coming up and I'm about to take my leave of the woods once more to travel back home for a week of big-city merriment. Going to get back to painting my new Mordheim warband, an Abbot from an abbey devoted to Myrmydia in Tilea and his staff, based on reiklanders. Lots of converting and sculpting monks hair-do's! Might post pics later, really happy with the result.

Will also be attending Gothcon in some form or other, this being sweden's (if not scandinavia's) largest event of roleplaying, tabltetop wargames and such.

I'd ask the same question myself, if Odin hadn't beat me to it. The bugger.

I do still see us as an RP guild first and foremost, although it's been quite a fair while since we actually had an rp... I did try though, you were just too lazy to attend. ;P

As it is, Ulric's Chosen isn't the most active guild on the forums, though technically it is the oldest, and we don't have a lot of members, just the three of us. And as Odin said, we don't do an awful lot... Mainly we chitchat.

That said, who's to say that the circumstances won't change? But if you're looking for an extremely active MMO guild that deals with the gaming in WAR as top priority, this might not be the place you're looking for.

However, if you're looking for a bunch (trio) of peeps to hang around with and take part in the occasional rp, then this might be your place. 'Tis just a matter for you to ponder on and come to a decision.

When you've though upon it and if you come to the conclusion that you still want to join, we have had applicants take part in a trial rp in the past, and it would in my opinion be the way to do it this time around as well. Up for discussion though.

Might the lack of members be that there is no Knight of the White Wolf Class in the game?. Just a speculation.

As i see it the creation of a Empire Rp Guild is limited by the choice of class in the game. Since Mythic decided to pick a Wizard class and three heavy religious classes. They already placed a limit on how much you can RP your Empire class. We are going to see tons of Sigmar Guilds with Witch Hunters and Warrior Priests running around praying to Sigmar and acting as a fanatic. Then we have the state controlled wizard who is barely tolerated by the sigmarites and then we have the Myrmidia Knight.

This pretty much leaves out the rest of the empire pantheon because of the choice of classes.

I don't want to be in a guild with lots of members, I'd rather it be a group of friends than a world-wide coorporation with over 1000 members. This guild sounds like just what I want - I wouldn't want a guild who would call on me every day to... I don't know, go do loads of quests or invade an enemy settlement and I would have to do as they say or I'm out the guild! I like the freedom to do what I want, as I'm sure everyone else does, and it sounds as though this is the sort of guild that would call on it's members for assistance only occasionally. Really it's just the satisfaction of knowing I have a place in a guild. I'm definately still interested.

Great! So I'm in? I see what you mean about the time differences though... I'm in good old Britain, so thats two european and two US. I think Sweeden and England are only a hour or so apart... not sure about east and west coats of the USA though, but I'm guessing no more than four hours, which admittedly is quite a long time. Gallas, I'm down to bring you in on a trial thread. I wanted to make something kinda clear though: We are not an INGAME Rp guild. We are a guild that RP's on the forums with our Ulrician characters. At the moment we are not ever sure if Ulric's Chosen will be a guild In Game, or what. But if you're ok with that, I am fine with having one of us give you a trial.

Personally I don't know what I am going to do once the game comes out. Reason being: although I could adapt Zacharia Thrax into a Warrior Priest or KotBS, it just wouldn't be right for me to change him from an Ulrician to a Sigmarite. Thrax will more than likely have to wait to be in WAR until an expansion. So I will be looking at anything I would like to play really. Honestly at the moment I might just make a Warrior Priest or Witch Hunter. But I also like a Chosen O.o. Or a Dark Elf...

Yes, I'm sorry if that wasn't made clear enough, we're a forum rp-guild. What we will or won't do when the time comes for WAr to be released will be decided there and then. Up to that point, we are a bunch of ulrician ex-templars who ply our trade on the forums.

And if you are interested in an application, we'll set up a trial rp for you to take part in, in order to see what quality your writing has, both with grammar, spelling and the ability to "roleplay" well. Ol' Wyrmy would have argued that what we do on the forums isn't real roleplaying, which might be true, but anyways...

If you're interested in this, we'll make a trial. Who will make it in that case will have to be discussed. I could do it, I suppose, but it would also be nice if it were a joint effort.

Equipment: The basic supplies for that of traveling the Old World (flint, skinning knife, water skin, dried meat, etc.) along with a notched hatchet he uses for multiple purposes.

Mental description: Kohel believes deeply in honor and trust, and it takes a lot from a person to gain his respect. He usually distances himself from others unless he feels he can trust them. He gives off a quiet yet ominous presence that he backs up with his strong moral beliefs. In battle he is something of a beast, almost a manifestation of Ulric’s mighty vengeance. When he is driven to the edge he will fight with no thought for his own well being and won’t stop till there is nothing left to end his blood rage.

Background (short): Kohel was born in an outlying village of Middenheim and lived with his mother and father. His father was a carpenter and Kohel often enjoyed helping his father collect lumber and helping him around the shop. When he was eleven years old he was sent to the Temple of Ulric in Middenheim to train to become a knight of the White Wolf. Once there, he worked vehemently, eager to impress his peers and teachers. He soon reached the level of initiate and from there on excelled in combat and grew in his devotion to Ulric.

It was many years later that he was inducted into the Grey Company where he met future comrades such as Zachariah Thrax and the company leader, Gunther Trollsbane. The Grey Company was an esteemed group of the Order of the White Wolf, and won many battles in the name of Ulric. It was after a few years of Kohel being in the Grey Company that they were disgraced through a conspiracy against them, and were forced to wander the land in repentance. The Company has been wandering ever since and has taken up the name Ulric’s Chosen. Though members have come and gone on their own separate paths, Kohel will stay ever true to Middenheim and his brothers.

This is in response to Gallas' character profile.

First point, judging by your descriptions it seems you do not know much about Ulric as a whole. Usually this would not be an issue, but for our guild it is mandatory that you know a lot about Ulric and the KOTWW (basically you have read Hammers of Ulric by Dan Abnett and two other authors whom I do not know). I can tell you do not know about Ulric by your character's choice of weapons. Basically as a templar of Ulric you use a massive hammer or in some cases huge axes or flails/maces, though the second two are not as common as a hammer. Your character is using a sword and a blackpower pistol. Ulric absolutely abhors ranged combat, especially blackpowder weapons (why Middenheim had a huge cannon in SoC I have no idea). Ulric wants his followers to get into the thick of things and get bloodied and to fight honorably. Thus ranged combat is a big "turn off" to him.

Secondly, we also decided that we do not actually want to accept members right now. We are the oldest guild left on the forums (been around since 01'), and the chemistry we have right now is just what we want.

Sorry if we portrayed ourselves wrongly, but honestly do not lose hope. I suggest you apply to the Silver Court and they may be able to help you more in your RPing endeavors.

We are able to offer you 10 slots at this time based on the size of your guild. In order for your guild to participate, I will need you to collect some information and send it to me.

However I have had a question i've been wating to ask.

How do you plan to RP as Worshipers of Ulric, when the only relgions represented by the Empire classes are Myrindia, and Sigmar.

I have thought about this myself, but the only way I can see this happening, is if they allow facial hair and hair in general and their dyeing system allows you to die the robes blue, even then you'll still have the Sigmar effegies

Hmmm,, bloody technical issues since friday ( spilled beer on the keyboard..).

The lack of white wolves in WAR is a bit gutting to all of us, but in a way i'm glad,, there'd be loads of nublets running round in the order if white wolves were playable.. luckily we'll remain the only white wolves and the order can remain unsullied by nublet pretenders!

This guild is the oldest in WAR, from a time before the races and classes were mentioned, from a time before Mythic were even involved.. When we finally get in game maybe we 'll decide on a possible new name and guild but us original guys will always remain Ulric's Chosen..

My brother and I use the same computer for this and we've both gotten our accounts validated and the specs are as follows;

However, they did mention that every applicant would be evaluated individually, and so it might just be that they havn't processed everyone's info yet. They did say that the requirements would be very high, so if you compare your specs to what I've posted and find that the difference is a lot, the case may be that the specs requirements were too high.

It sucks that you havn't heard anything about it yet, it would be a hell lot more fun if we could all play it together. Getting this far with an intact guild has really been a great team effort...

As a random side note, it seems that we have been mentioned in Rowhin's latest guide to WH lore (which btw is quite good). I was skimming through it and noticed that he was using some of the Wikipedia entries in his guide. With this trend for the White Wolf entry the tale of Ulric's Chosen was tucked in. The reason you ask? Well I will tell you. I suppose it was a year ago now, I checked out the KOTWW section on Wikipedia and fixed it up a bit. It was then that I decided to throw Ulric's Chosen in there. Thus we come to the reason why we are mentioned in his guide. Yay :p.

We will be beta by January 20th at the latest. I can not wait any longer!!! So exciting after all this time. Just in case you guys have not heard yet the beta this time around will be much more focused. So say for a week we will be playing the Dark Elf classes only and specifically testing those. After that we could be playing Chaos classes in their zone 4. Basically we will be all over the place doing different stuff and not just keeping with one character and playing through, at least at first.

I recently found out some bad news! You can only play on Euro servers if you input a Euro CD key when you install. :(!

Summer's coming along, school's just a few more weeks, then me and a friend are going on a eurotrip by train, for a month. Gonna be everywhere. Will probably take the boat across the gibraltar strait to Marocco, making a pit-stop in Africa! Awesomeness in a box!

Oh nice Whitey. I just went on a mini road trip with some of my college mates down to South Carolina (15 hour drive long enough?). That sounds really cool though.

So I think since the last time I posted I have switched around my degree three times now. From an Economics major with Classical Studies minor to Classical Studies major with Econ minor and finally to a Classical Studies major with a History minor. Wooo.

I actually just go into beta 3 days ago O_o. I don't think it's part of the guild beta. Just got lucky I guess.

Hehehehe. Ah Warinheim. Ulric's Chosen as you may or may not know have been around since the Climax days. We recently found out we are actually the second oldest WO guild left (damn you YNHs!). Basically though the guild has gone from being one set on being Knights of the White Wolf so some guys hanging around trying to organize RPs and just shooting the breeze.

What's up though is that we don't really do much "guild stuff". Unfortunately we won't even be able to play on the same server (half of us are European and the other half is US). Not sure if you still want to hang about, but let's see what everyone else has to say.

Well boys it seems that I will be jobless for the summer. Fortunately for me though is that I recently rediscovered an intricate Native American belt that my grandma got for me. I don't know if she thought I would actually wear it, it's fairly extravagant. The good thing in all of this is that she bought it for $1200. What that means for me is that once I sell it I will make at least that. After some research though I may be able to sell it for more. Score one for me :D.

Besides that, I switched my major to a double in Classical Studies and History. This is very exciting, since those are the classes in which I actually do well. I also started learning Latin over the summer since it's a requirement for my Classical Studies major.

If you want to give one to your brother you definitely can White. The only way I know how to contact those two is through the wesbite and MSN so I don't know if I could reach them. Thrax, if you have a friend you want to invite then by all means do so. I'll ask Gatten the next chance I get and he can be my "friend spot".

I also talked to Morm just now. He isnt going to be able to play beta, and sadly wont even be able to play WAR at all. He is working a lot, and in the process of making a family, so he cant spend the time to play. He will keep in touch, and always be UC, and says for us to kick in beta and in WAR.
