Two Handers and IB

So i was just wondering if anyone would usee two handed weapons if we get them...

I'll say yes but only for PvE.... sheild moves are more important in PvP and RvR than PvE.... and the extra punch would make PvE easier.... i dun wanna say grinding... cause i don't think it will be in WaR....

so what do you guys say?

I think you are right.
Shields are very important for Pve but perhaps they won't get abilities to make them worthy for Pvp, perhaps they will. Anyway I would just go for the "better" weapon choice.

I think you have been colored by WoWs crapptastic use of shields.
In DAoC you use shield to fully block enemy damage. Small shield = 1 attacker, Medium = 2, Large = 3.
You can also guard other players and block most of the attacks done on them.
You can get 50%+ block rate and even higher when guarding someone.

I would like to have the option but think I would only use a 2-hander in certain specific situations.

The grudge buildup from the shield based attacks is too important in my opinion.

Yeah Anders, shields in DAOC were much more useful than many other games. If they port any of that into WHO, you will definately like having the shield option and not feel like its a pve only crutch.

If Mythic treats weapon specialization like they did in DAOC it will be wiser to pick your preference of weapon type and stick with it.

I'll probably be 1h and shield all the way, especially if shield spec is as beneficial as it was in DAOC. But I like a big 2 hander every now and then :D

Im hoping the Ironbreaker will be similar to the DaoC Midgard Warrior.

Being able to punish people with a 2H when we want but also going Axe and Board for pve and defensive pvp.

i will use 2 shields

but since i cant i will use a shield and hammer (i wont use an axe) (hammers are cooler)

i prefer being that annoying person that just wont die to the guy that managed to kill some one before getting trampled

But on a serious note, I'm going to definately use a 2 handed axe, its one of the main parts of my RP (besides the whole AA thing, but thats mostly a joke) I would rather be a tanker whos armour absorbs the living crap out of things, that can get really nice big hits back on people, than one who sits in the fetal position with 1 (or 2) shields, cackling madly at some Orc who cant seem to kill me. (sorry festo...)
