I haven't used plantme so I can't really give a good comparison, but autoharvest has some pros and cons. It's really nice that you can just click and it adds the last thing you put in that spot, or finds something eligible. However, right now its really annoying because I can't seem to disable the popups for certain phases (like 2-4).
The ignore command to do so doesn't work right now. I'm pretty confident it will get fixed, and at some point I might compare the two. A working autoharvest seems like it would be just fine for me though.

Plantme is freakin' superb. It's so convenient to use, even in the middle of a scenario.

I also use PlantMe - wouldn't want to go without anymore.

Could some kind person explain how to get plantme to work?
I've not had any luck.
I've unzipped the PlantMe.1.0.1 folder into my ../interface/addons folder, nothing happened.
I've unzipped the PlantMe subfolder into my ../interface/addons folder, nothing happened.
I've tried typing /plantme , with or without the cultivation window up, nothing.
Is this version compatible with the current build? It's all I could find on curse....

To answer my own question (for anyone else suffering from this problem), you need to also install another addon, Libslash, to get it to work...

PlantMe is far superior. Autoharvest attempts to be fancy, but just gets in your way and still requires you to open and close the cultivation window a ton.
PlantMe only requires you to open your cultivation window to sync up the mod, then from that point on you can use a very small square as your interface. You simply click which pot in the interface you want to plant and it pulls up a small text list of stuff that you can plant.
PlantMe makes it so you can cultivate while doing other stuff.
