I haven't tried using them up, but all of my goldweeds now list themselves as stabilizers.

All of my gold dust lists itself as a talisman making ingredient aka a finished product golden core.

I'm hoping that this isn't the way things are going to stay, since making essences was one of the few ways to make money as an apothecary...

it seems my SAC containers for making golden cores also have no icon and no tooltip.

QFT.

It's great to have a way to make stabilizers consisently, however, gold essence was my one source of crafting income >.>

Bah.

It's not a bug. Read: http://herald.warhammeronline.com/warherald/NewsArticle.war?id=366

Crafting

One of the things we’ve been hearing from players is that our Talisman making system was a bit more time-consuming than we wanted it to be. So, in an effort to make Talisman making more accessible to lower/mid-range crafters, our Items team changed Gold Essence (originally a product of Apothecary) to Gold Dust and added Gold Dust to crafting merchants to eliminate the need for a third crafter to level their skills. Unfortunately, this change was released slightly ahead of schedule and Gold Dust had no sell price. Rather than change everybody’s character, we decided to leave the change live. However, in order to avoid an impact on our economy, we have made it so that Gold Dust, that had been purchased prior to server restart cannot be sold but it can still be used. This item can still be traded. So, since Gold Dust could previously be bought for no cost, well, you haven’t lost anything.

Players who previously had Gold Essence will notice that it has been converted to Gold Dust, which can be used in all recipes that previously required Gold Essence.

As a result of this change, Goldweed, which had previously been an ingredient used to create gold dust, has now been converted to a stabilizer for Apothecary. This is a boon to Cultivators, who could not previously create a stabilizer and it will help make tie Cultivation and Apothecary more tightly together.

Kinda offtopic, but where does one get gold dust? I got all the other materials to use it.

Lame

If Mythic listens too much to all these idiots ranting about how hard the game is, we'll end up with 100% cookie cutter crafting professions

Talismans no longer need cultivators, just more scavangers

I don't mind this change at all. I was having a really hard time getting the stabilizers needed to get my Apothecary past level 120 so now that Goldweed can be used to create a stabilizer I'm quite happy.

It's not like money is that useful at a personal level anyway. I get talismans from my guilds talisman makers and they get potions from me. After buying a mount there is barely anything left to spend money on for myself. All the money is used for guild things like standards and keeps.

Yeah no kidding. This is a nice change.

And whats wrong with that? I for myself dont want to spend too much time with crafting. Right now you dont NEED to craft anything but its nice to have and nice to do. I dont want any farming or spending all my gold for those few rare ingredients just to get one more skillup.

Talisman making needed (and needs) huge help; this was a step in right direction for them, and those of us with non-retarded crafting profs. should accept it gracefully. It also is really nice having some easier to acquire stabilizers.

I had just dumped my 200 cultivator into scavenging because I couldn't find stabilizers for apothecary. Bummer. Oh well.
