As a Shaman will you Stick to PvP or PvE?
I was just curious, seeing as how PvE healing would be quite interesting seeing as you need to do damage, Then heal. DPS/Healing in PvE is something never seen in an MMO before, well... It's not forced on a Player in other MMO's.
I believe this option is more simplified during PvP experience, seeing as If you deal a X Number of damage to a player, it kills him, There for helping your faction defeat the other players, If the enemy overwhelmes you - Get yer healing and save your group members, Making your Faction outlast the enemy.

I doubt anyone who is planning on playing WAR is going to 'stick to pve'. You're either doing pvp, or you're doing pvp and pve. I'd certainly do both.

i sincerely doubt anyone will be able to enjoy this game as a PvE only experience. This isn't DungeonRaidHammer its WARHammer. The entire endgame is built around RvR, which is fundamentally a PvP experience.
This isn't to say that Shaman (or healers of any kind) won't also do a fair amount of PvE, but the developers have made it pretty clear that endgame is RvR not PvE raiding.
Safe bet that nobody in this thread has played a shaman, or any class in WARonline so hard to say from the information we have, relating to spells andd abilities, and general playstyle; Limited footage, and a discription. From what I can see, every class is going to be viable in nearly every aspect, meaning they are good in RvR and PvE. Everybody fights, nobody sits back and sucks, or heal bots. And yes, and as mentioned, end game is RvR.
In other words, don't bring your WoW( Shaman) blues here son, this is WAR! :skull:

I actually know many people who are planning on sticking to PvE. Most of my guild in fact. But I tend to play more often than... well... all of them, so I'll be fine with the way I plan on playing the game, and that's playing PvE with them, some solo, then spending the rest of the time in RvR. I wouldn't discount the PvE side at all. Even though these forums are full of TT players and PvP fans who are used to competition in one form or another, remember that most people who will be coming over from other games are mostly used to PvE and will probably take a while to warm to the competitive side of the game.
Will PvP whenever there is much action in the battlegrounds.

Anyone who says, "I only plan to experience half of the game" will be sorely missing out in my opinion, whether they plan of skimping out on PvP or PvE.

One of the main reasons why this game is so attractive is because of its RvR/PvP focus. It's something other MMO's have never really managed to get right, where as, for me, WAR seems to have cracked it. Why would anyone stick to PvE when this game is ultimately about RvR/PvP? But I do agree the Shaman DPS/Healing see-saw will be interesting to see in PvE.

I plan on staying as much with RvR as I can. If I can get the same level of rewards and exp with RvR then thats what I plan on doing.

I will probably end up doing it half and half because i love to explore and find places really cool to come back to. But i will also spend half my time in RvR to show off my skills i gained in pve. :D

I will probably go to all the dungeons etc and world bosses I can to experience them, but I doubt I will do them again or farm them. Definitely focusing on the PvP side of things.

I find PvP far more interesting than PvE, so I'll heavily focus on that aspect of the game.

Goblin always follow the big orc around. Be it either a Black Orc or a Choppa. Where they are going I will mostly like follow and aid them in what way possibly. Like use my pointy stick staff.
I vote both, but its RvR im looking forward too.

I'd definitely do both, more focused on PvP.
But as you said there has been no DPS/healer type in PvE?

Hehe, With Shadow priest your healing doesn't Improve while you do more damage - It just remains Suck.

Vampiric Embrace - % of your damage heals party members.
I wish there was a percantage I could chose. It'd probably be (endgame) 70% rvr 30% pve. For leveling a combination of both because it would be fastest (not entirely into that whole yay exploreing! thing).

Knowing my circle of friends, we'll probably have destruction be our mostly-PvP chars, whereas order will be our mostly-PvE chars. That said, I'm definitely rolling a shaman for my destruction hybrid, not only because my friends have already laid claim to choppers/herders/black orcs, but also because the movesets sound sooo awesome for PvP. I love the idea of, for example, the spell where your enemy is surrounded by a cloud, and any allies near him are healed. When an enemy sees that he's gonna think "oh $#%@" and try to run away, scattering his team, or if he doesn't run away, lawls then my friends are all being healed anyway.
Definitely I will RvR........

You should have made a "Both" option. I will play mostly PvP, but also some PvE.
I voted PvP.

it was a multiple-vote poll. You can vote for both of them, it even says that in the poll question.
