Being the healer for the Greenskins... I think the small size of the Goblin Shaman was intentional. In my opinion, it will help a Goblin Shaman stay alive longer because they are smaller, and not as easily seen as a huge Orc lumbering about. That's just my take on it, I do agree the Orc Shaman does look cool though.

weeee! i love flying! I have always loved the short classes in MMO's just have never really been drawn to either the faction or the classes that they offer. But the shaman looks like an amazing class and since there are physics in this game im going to love being able to hide behind my orc friends

The Orcs arent smart enough to be a shaman. They would look at a book( or dry human hide or something) for only a few seconds and ask, "Where iz my choppa?" ," I need to go smash things!"

There are Orc Shamans in lore, but Mythic decided to make it goboo-only for us, and that's fine with me.

You really need to look up on your orcs than, the minitures do have orc shamans.

On my friends PC Gamer magazine April 2006 on page 27 theres a wall of screenshots of a primitive WAR game. There is one shamn by himself and another that says A dwarf thunderer (engineer now) gets a drop on an orc (gobbo) shaman.

Also theres an orc with a bow and the bone like armor you have in your orc shaman pic. The picture of the Black Orc in there tells me not to roll a Choppa cause my class will do just fine. (OR ELSE!)

Gemini is right. There is Orc Shamans. I believe that the reason there is none is pure balance.
All factions have 4 careers and one race, except Greenskins, we have two. The obvious and correct way to split this up is two careers per race, and if EA Mythic had to choose between Black Orc or Orc Choppa to make way for the Orc Shaman, I do believe they made the right choice. =)

Shamans are (or should be) able to kill stuff, so I don't really agree with the "he is a healer so he needs to be small so he can hide".

Nothing about healing, though it's good for healers aswell. What he means is hiding and being able to throw 2-3 attacks / heals before the enemy realise where you are, is a good thing.

No races will ever have the same careers and, sure, there still exists a possibility for EA Mythic to switch Shaman too orcs, but will it then be Orcs: 3, Goblins: 1? just make it a gender choice when choosing to be a shammy, just like how OTHER races choose to be male, or female.

As it stands, its two goblin and two orc, totaling 4.
Everyone else gets a male and female of almost every other class, with the exception thus far of the chosen for chaos.
(so thats male Tank, female tank, male wizard, female wizard, male rogue/DPS melee like class, female one, and then a male and female version of one other class, totaling around 8 )
I expect there will be more 'classes' that have no gender choice, and personaly while i dont mind about one or two being in a race, the fact that greenskins have ALL of their classes predetermined upon whether or not they are goblin, or orc, is retarded.

Its probaly the only thing that i don't like about this game so far.

It makes mythic seem really lazy that they will cut corners on greenskin customization, when to alot of greenskin fans, the choice between being orc or goblin is quite a big deal.
i know some who definitely want to be an orc shaman, and others who are dieing to play a gobbo 'choppa'

From what I have seen, the small size is a pretty nice benefit when combined with fast casting heals(when Waagh! builds up) because it alows you to keep running around and make it hard for meele classes to come up to you and punt you to your death. Also makes you harder to target if you run behind a black orc or a choppa.;)

It's because Orcs are not intelligent. Goblins are not the smartest, but they do have far more intellectual values than their Greenskinned brethren.

You sir know little about lore. Yes there are shammy orcs... but the VAST majority of well known spell casters are green skins. And there has NEVER really been any great melee goblins. There have been some GREAT squig herders but that doesn't go far as to class them as melee. Sometimes Gameplay > Lore but then again sometimes Lore>Gameplay.

One of my all time favorite models from the TT range is the savage orc shaman, having the only option being a squeeky goblin has really turned me away from being a greenskin. *shrug*
