Obviously its early days but those engineer skills are looking like alot of fun. What im wondering is how much we will need to spec in a particular field to be effective. ie will we need to concentrate on guns or grenades, bombs or turrets etc.

What do you guys think and if this is the case which way are you likely to lean?

Right now, you can't even really spec in abilities. You will get ALL of the abilities that come out of your Action tab. The only place where you can be diverse (at least at the moment) is through Tactics and Morale. You have more Tactics and Morale than you can buy with the points that you gain through "leveling".

There will be some specialization system but what we seen its more like the WoW talent system as it enhance your current abilities.

As age said i was under the impression there was some sort of specialization process. Guess theres not alot of information out there yet about it.

If WAR is limited to 3 trees of sorts I could see Engineers as being able to go into:
Rifleman, increase basic gun attacks
Explosives Expert, increased effectiveness of grenades and mines
Gadgeteer, increased effectiveness of turrets, device effects, etc.

The spec trees that were seen before are extremely outdated information. The current action/morale/tactics system completely replaced it. While some people may not like the idea of the main "spec" options being flexible in being able to switch them somewhat frequently, the majority of people far prefer that sort of flexibility.
