From what I understand the only PVP trophies you can wear are from your race counterpart. For us, that being Chaos. Maybe I'm wrong in this assumption. Can empire characters wear trophies from greenskins, and dark elves?

I was just wondering what PVP items empire characters will be able to display? I can't think of what Chaos parts we will be able to wear.

RvR trophies are based on your race. I.E, Dwarfs get dwarfy stuff, orcs get orcy stuff. Some of it is based on your racial opponent - dwarf beards - some of it isn't - giant lizard skull shoulderpads.

My guess is that Empire will have a mix of heretic skulls and other Empirish stuff.

I agree.

The Empire does indeed wear the skulls of the enemy, although it would be just plain ridiculous carrying around a 20 pound orc skull hanging from your waist.

They wear a lot of religious symbols and stuff, as well as state symbols and effigies.

Then you'd be a walking money bag and increase aggro from orcs.

And that's a bad thing?

I think we can expect heretic skulls, maybe Choas helmets, symbols of Sigmar/Empire, etc.

Here's how I've understood it: Some of the trophy-work will be stuff taken right of your enemy. Some of that can then be collected and turned in a certain NPC's who'll then reward you with some even shinier bits. And perhaps then, you can earn enough of them shinier bits to turn them in for the ultimate shiny thing. Or gory thing, or wicked thing or whatnot, depending on your alignment. Sort of like: 20 Severed Chaos Mutations -> 1 Big piece of Parchment carrying the signture and seal of Karl Franz. 20 Seals of Karl Franz -> A wreath of Golden Laurels
Something like that.

I hope there will be books/pages/scrolls hanging from chains and stuck on the armour, like the warrior priest in the trailer. Could work rather well, Warrior Priests have a hammer on the cover(Or any other symbol of Sigmar), Bright Wizards could have a fireball or something in that way on their cover and Witch Hunters could have some witch hunter'y symbol on theirs(1:30 AM here, cant think straight.).

Knights dosnt get a book! HAH!

Why does this sound so incredibly cool to me?

Finally found an old post of mine:

(Numbers indicate how many kills it costs to buy a given trophy)

Empire Waist/Chest:
1 Symbol of Sigmar (Ghal Maraz, Two-Tailed Comet, Skull, etc.) = 10 kills
2 Symbols of Sigmar= 20 kills
4 Symbols of Sigmar = 40 Kills
1 Oath Scroll (those lengths of paper with the red seals)= 50 kills
2 Oath Scrolls = 100 kills
1 Purity Banner (the page of text) = 250 kills
1 Small Imperial Cross = 500 Kills
1 Big Imperial Cross = 1000 kills
1 Small Deus Sigmar = 1000 kills
1 Big Deus Sigmar= 2000 kills

Head:
Regular Laurel on Helm = 5,000 kills
Golden Laurel on Helm = 10,000 kills
Imperial Crest on Helm = 15,000 kills
Personal Crest on helm = 20,000 kills

Shoulders:
201-400 is Ducal Crest on epaulets
401-600 is Elector Count Crest on epaulets
601-800 is Imperial Crest on epaulets
1000 is Gryphon on epaulets
2000 is Twin-Tailed Comet on epaulets
3000 is Ghal Maraz on epaulets

Armor:
500 is motto (Sigmar/Karl Franze/Repent/etc) etched into armor
1000 is motto etched into armor in gold
801-1000 is personal coat of arms on shield
1001-2000 is personal coat of arms on chest
4001-8000 is a personal standard bearer who follows you around

Give him a pair of coconuts, and you might have a winner.

I was more thinking like a battle-standard-bearer who follows you around because you're the officer, some big of a sergeant with a banner in one hand and a big honking sword in the other. Something like this:

Vikingkingg I take it thats just what you presume the stuff will be like?

In that case, if it isn't what Mythic themselves have said, I believe it will be different. I don't think it will be based on a kill score. It's too simple and too much like WoW's honour system and WAR doesn't sound like the PvP will be anything like WoW.

I think it'll be cleverer.. Especially because some of the PvP games (Scenarios?) will be defending positions and holding them from your enemy. Perhaps there will be a points system dependant on a balance between kills - heals/saves - positions gained/lost - etc.

Just a guess but I just don't think it will be as simple as "You have killed 200 people, have a shiny sticker!"

Tell me if you agree guys.

It's my guess on how it will work. And it's not a kill score - sorry, I really should have copy-texted the post it came from. Rather, it's a currency thing. Doing RvR stuff, primarily killing people will be the majority of the activity, but also as you said, heals/saves, positions gained/lost, objectives seized, scenarios won, capitols sacked, etc. would get you currency that you could then spend to acquire different and better trophies. I just used kills for a consistent rubric.
