TEMPLARS OF THE HAMMER

“With my own ears I have heard tales of the great things you once did in a time long ago,

With my own eyes I have read your word and know these tales are true:

How you joined the once warring tribes of men,

How you drove out the abominations invading our now glorious Empire and established peace for the descendants of man,

How your strength and skill alone conquered that which a mere mortal could never dream of conquering.

It was by your hammer that the enemies of man fell, by your hammer that you cleansed the lands.

I ask you to see now that once again man is outnumbered and surrounded, to see that once more man is in need of your strength and protection.

I have lived my life according to your word, and graciously ask of you this day to reward me for my service. I am in need of protection, as are all men I fight with on this dark day. I am in need of your strength so that I may purge those who stand against the peace and happiness of man that you yourself established.

If you deem me worthy of such favors I shall continue following and spreading your word.

My faith in you is unfaltering and I await your glorious return. Your will be done...”

Samuel Watts’ prayer before engaging
an Ork army in the Black Fire pass.

Aims & Goals
Founded by Samuel Watts, the Templars of the Hammer are a religious group of knights fighting in the name of Sigmar.
To say the Templars of the Hammer shall cleanse all the land so peace and prosperity shall reign as Sigmar once did is blaspheme. Never until the return of Sigmar himself shall another man do such a thing. It is more proper to say we are making sure the human race is alive for his glorious
return. We fight for our Savior, for the Emperor, and for the people.

Templar’s Oath
Serve the Emperor. Defend the weak, innocent, and those in need. But above all else, Sigmar’s will be done.

Templar’s Dress
The official symbol of the Templars is the golden Hammer of Sigmar, which is emblazoned upon their solid black surcoat.

Structure
Grand Master - The commander of the Templars of the Hammer.

High Priest - The holiest of men within the Templars, the High Priest is capable of building up a man’s courage or breaking him apart with mere words. He leads the Templars in prayer and is Sigmar’s guiding hand within the company. His main job, however, is teaching the words of Sigmar to the newly initiated Priests.

High Templars - The oldest members of the Templars and most skilled in warfare. Their duty is to help train the Priests in Combat.

Templars - Once a Priest has completed his studies in the word of Sigmar and is deemed a worth combatant they are promoted to Templars. This is the mainstay of the order.

Priests - Those who are accepted into the order first start as Priests. They study the word of Sigmar from the High Priest and train with the High Templars to prepare for combat.

Basics;

Name; Carl Krieger

Race; Human Male

Age; 25

Description;

Appearance;
A man of average height at 5'9", Carl would find it easy to blend into a crowd. His hair is cropped short, almost to his scalp, leaving only a shadow of his once full brown hair. A square jawline and heavy head make a strong frame for his blue eyes, behind which shines a light of firey passion.

He has no tattoos or markings, deeming them unacceptable. The only personal item he has brought to the order is a chain about his wide neck, carrying a small hammer shaped pendant. The metal is faded in places, staining in others; Carl often fingers it and holds it tight when in need of support beyond the skill of any mere mortal.

Mental;
Due to a devoutly religious upbringing, Carl sees the will of Sigmar as the only acceptable one way in life; all others have been led astray by Gods keen for support against His name. He strongly believes that only by a hammer's carress can a false worshipper be truly forgiven, and it was for this reason that he joined the knights. The Empire has become a den of corruption at it's lowest levels; criminals and murderers running about the grasslands with no one willing to bring them to justice.

Though of course it is Sigmar and He alone that can cleanse the Empire, it is a true believer's job to help him in this momentous task. A worshipper must take up arms, not turn a blind eye to the ones who deserve to be put to death. Carl believes that he must follow Sigmar's will, and do everything in his power to aid his glorious saviour in his task.

Is there any chance I could write up a history later? I have extraordinary trouble writing sheets before I've written with the character once or twice... I just don't know them yet. Like writing a description of someone you've never met!

But I hope that's good enough. And good on ya for trying to kick start some guilds!!

sorry it took me so long to come up with a roleplay, but I've finally thought of a good one!

It's titled: Causality

Look for it in the roleplaying forum.

For now we're just sitting in a tavern in the middle of no where; my next post (after your's Draco) will kick it off.
