Marauder Mount Mutation - HORSE LEGS

Anyone like the idea? the marauders legs mutate into 4 horse legs or 2 I don't really care, but it would be very interested. Or mabye some other animal, like a cow. LOL just kidding. Or mabye like wolf legs or something I dont know.

I vote yes on some kind of limitted travel mutation, though nothing like a centaur body.

I'm thinking your marauder just hunches over, his face (if you aren't wearing a helmet) becomes slightly more canine-like, his forearms lengthen. You assume a sort of baboon-esque running lope where you travel faster than a normal run, but slower than a mount.

Key features being you look ugly as sin and you move abnormally with a freakish canter.

Just looking really hideous so you don't look like some friendly furry care-bear.

Though I'd not want Marauders to be a mountless class if mounts are in the game. I'm just all for freakish mutations that give you different utility.

How about wing's? You know leathery style bat wing's that make the marauder hover but move faster, you can't attack when your using your wing's (or if mounted combat is in, you can) you would also be able to fly over water, much in the same way that a Magus can using his disc.

Perhaps more of aesthetic change as well, giving him clawed feet, changing his general posture making him more "bird like", basically turning him into a man/bird, a half man half bird creature, from far away you might be like "Oh that's a big bird coming at me", but when he get's closer and you see that the bird is actually carrying a sword, has a crab claw for an arm and is wearing a helmet your like "Oh that's a marauder coming at me", and then they would run away.

I still don't see how crab claws, wings and other avian features are meant to "look good".
I mean I know Chaos is all about mutation, extremes and hideous freakishness but even though something along those lines fitts the IP perfectly I still couldn't see myself chosing it.

Tzeentch would give whatever mutation he would want to at any given time. From a lore perspective, it wouldn't be all that unlikely, but I seriously doubt we'll see such a mutation, especially when a good old horse would do the job just a fine.

well if it was a quest to get this travel mutation I'm all for it (as long as it's not like the "free" mounts locks and pally's got in WoW) because I'm more then sure mount will cost you gold (or what ever the money system in place will be).. 2 weeks of farming for a mount isn't my idea of fun.. please W.A.R. team if it's going to cost gold.. no 5000g mounts (and i thought 2 weeks of farming was bad :mad: )

The legs could be long gaunt rooster legs for all intent and purpose. "Horse" is very loose. Consider it more along the lines of simply "mount" legs.

Which, I'd be open to, providing they're simply 1 option and a traditional mount is still primarily offered. With the mutation element of the feature, it would likely have the leeway to be balanced, too. 'Summoning' your mount with the act of mutating into the mount legs, and so forth.

Makes me think an comic strip in an issue of Heavy Metal Magazine I read years ago. It was about a singular entity with two heads that started quarelling with each other. It turned into a "Two Cats of Kilkenny" scenario where the heads fought and devoured each until poof - the creature vanished.

As for the slugg body - the slimey back end will be very Chaosy but I hope it doesn't have the typical sluggish lack of speed. :p

For some reason I sort of like the generic horse mount. The chaos horses go perfectly with the aura of intimidation that encompasses the chaos warriors :P I'm sure there will eventually be various options for mounts, though probably not a mutation.

i've heard rumor of various other mutations other than the main 3 mastery ones so you never know, i enjoyed the travel forms for the druid in wow, so a travel mutation for the marauder wouldnt be a surprise, but the devs have stated almost every single ability in the game will have some form of use in battle, so a full blown tranformation just isnt happening.

I don't think you understand, the OP was talking about the Marauder's legs becoming horse legs as a replacement for a normal mount.

Horeselegs are too common. You could at least have suggested stripped and fleshless horselegs.
