What kind of mobs do you think we can expect to see on the High Elf homelands? Apart from the dark elf invaders, I don't know much about the wildlife of the island. What creatures live there that would make sense for high elf players to see/fight?

Plenty of dangerous, massive and/or ferocious creatures lurking around, mutated by the warping power of Chaos seeping from the magic-riven Annulii mountains.
Great Eagle
White Lion
Chimera
Cockatrice
Griffon
Hippogriff
Manticore
Pegasus
Unicorn
Dragon

Great Eagles.
Lions of Chrace.
Elven Horses.
Dragons.
In general, lots of mythic animals and less in the way of your ordinary cows and sheep.

'course, if you're going to run around farming Great Eagles, I will be very sad.

Yeah, most elves will be running around killing elven horses instead.

Of these the High Elves won't be fighting (Since their basically good chum's) but the dark Elves probably will.
Great Eagles, Pegasus, Unicorns or Dragons (High Elves are bound to fight Black Dragons in the Dark Elf area though.)

Monsters amidst the Anulii mountains alone: Chimera - The Chimera looks like it has been made up from leftover pieces of other creatures, and who knows, this may even be true. They are huge creatures with three heads and a vicious lashing tail which is barbed with venemous stings. Each of their heads is different: one breathes fire and is scaled like a dragon, the second is that of a great lion, and the last carries the curling horns of a ram. The sum of this mismatched creation is a deadly opponent indeed, and one that will be the subject of many a heroic song, if only it can be slain. Cockatrice - If it was not for the petrified bodies of its foes that surround it, the Cockatrice would be a comical beast. It looks rather like a gigantic and somewhat ragged cockerel. Its body is covered with a haphazard mix of scales and feathers whilst its wings are leathery and bat-like. The head that sits atop this bizarre combination is a grotesque caricature of a proud bantam, with brilliant blood-red wattles and a fearsomely sharp beak. Giant Scorpion - Quite where these abominations live normally is unknown; perhaps they only exist to plague the High Elves of the Anulii. Wherever they are from, theya re easily recognisable by their great pincers and lethal sting. Giant Spider - When a spider is the size of a gold piece it may be said to do some good, and the High Elves are ever careful of life in all its natural forms. However, when the dire foreces of Chaos mutate this to a thousand times its true size, there is no option but to slay the vile affront to Isha. Giant Wolf - Though smaller than many of the beasts that wander the Anulii, Giant Wolves often hunt in large packs and fight together to bring down the largest of creatures. Gorgon - The Gorgon is a horrifying snake-headed she-monster with long, thin claws and small sharp teeth through which she hisses like a serpent. Like a Cockatrice, the gaze of the Gorgon is magical and can turn her victims to stone. Hydra - A heavily scaled, many headed, fire-breathing monstrosity is the Hydra; the stuff of nightmares. It is not surprising that the foul Druchii often goad these beasts into battle, and it is difficult to decide whose heart is blacker. Harpy - For the High Elves, the Harpies are an evil portent, a sign of the darkest of fortune. They are beloved of the Druchii and the sound of their leathery wings thrashing the air is often the first sign of attack. Manticore - This unholy creating has the body and head of a gigantic lion with enormous bat wings and a vicious barbed tail. It is another of the dread mounts of the Druchii lords, and has a foul temper that even they respect. Troll - Although there are so many types of Troll, they all share the same stench, stupidity and near invulnerability to damage. They are huge, knuckle-dragging monsters of a vaguely humanoid shape that shamble down from the mountains, eating anything they can reach. Wyvern - Wyverns are sometimes known as 'mere-Dragons', because they resemble those mighty creatures. However, there is nothing 'mere' about the fighting ability of these huge scaled beasts. Their vast slavering jaws are easily able to bite an Elf in half, or swallow him whole should they choose.

I could imaging mobs more center around the other faction maybe darkelf npc'c, and maybe be fighting
hydras, dark pegasus, harpies maybe ?
story could also include some skaven if they made models or goblins some small raiding parties.

There'll obviously be plenty of dark elf NPCs from the invasion, I'm more interested in what I didn't already know about :)
