Mounted Combat and Herders

I have heard the rumor that there is an attempt being made to have mounted combat in the game. Very very cool.

As part of that rumor- it is speculated that the Chosen and the Knights of the Blazing Sun are 2 of the classes which may be mounted. It seems to me each Race should get to mount up at least one of its members- all things being equal and all - so..

I nominate the Squig Herder. Riding into combat mounted on his faithful Squigg.

At the very least he should have some abilities to knock those blasted Knights of the Blazing Sun off their ponies.

If dwarven engineers can't build a mount, and loads of other classes can get mounts, I will be angry. =P

Dwarfs got thire flying plane thinggy.... orc got some sort of giant Wolf, Empire Got Horse and Chaos got Chaos Powers! :D

EDIT : And High Elfs got slaves carring them, And Dark Elfs got Drugs so it sems that they r going reaaaally fast.... :D

Most definately. Boars are iconic to the TT Orcs and would be to WAR Orcs as well if mounts were implemented. No doubt.

It would be a bit weird to see Goblins riding spiders like their forest relatives so they'd probable ride wolves. Squigs would be much cooler though.

High Elves are renowned for their perfect horses so thats a no brainer, and as much as i'd like to see drugged up Dark Elves stumbing at riddiculous speeds across the battlefield they'll no doubt ride Cold Ones.

All careers of all armies will be able to be mounted, but only two careers will be able to fight while mounted. A squig herder can jump into his battle squig, but it isn't "true" mounted combat - he can't fight while riding his wolf mount.

Exactly Axxar, however, I would love to ride my Squig Handler mounted into combat.

I loved that little twist for the goblin to ride in a squig,I dont know if it's been confirmed or not, but Paul Barnett refered to it as 'Squig Power Armor'. So you can be a Space Marine as a Goblin inside a squig

It has been said that there will 2 mounted combat careers in the game, one for each side.
It has also been said that both KotBS and Chosen will "fight with their feet off the ground."

So, as far as we know, those are the ONLY mounted combat careers.

Makes sense that KotBS is a mounted combatant as in the normal game there is no form of non-mounted knight for empire (sept greatswords which really dont count)

they would be silly if they weren't mounted

Chosen would be nice if you could choose (lol accidental pun) whether or not you were mounted

Honestly out of all the classes for Greenskins I would like to see choppas in mounted combat, making them more of boar boys but still would be cool

I hope not, I would hate to see a mounted Blade master fighting while mounted.

Also it would be boring to have all tanks mounted. i want to see the shaman or Squig herder fight while mounted.
