View Full Version : Orcs get bigger, Chosen get more ornate/customizable armor slots?

I was thinking, I know they are set to have armor customization for all races/classes...but what I was thinking was since in most artwork from GW the stronger chaos warriors all seem to have extremely ornate armor. Why not make that their lvl up form?

Instead of getting bigger like orcs, why not allow Chosen to have a more ornate armor system? IE; add tusks or horns or skulls to his helmet, and spikes to his armor, along with ornate feathered cloaks or bones attached to armor (almost like an outter skeleton look) additional chaosy/tzeentchian trinkets and symbols all over his armor. Things like that...

I'm thinking tho that that may be a tad hard to implement...not a game designer so I don't know how hard that level of customization would be. But I think you get my point.

Chaos in any form, be it TT, novel, or video game is always so distinct and original in that not one of the Chaos warriors look alike, they each have their own story and history as does their armor. So it only makes sense imho that they have the most ornate armor options...(granted I understand the same could go to the orcs but that's another topic :P)

Any specific place I can look to get that info? Haven't found much on it...or is that the reason? There just isn't much info on it? lol

Everyone gets better looking and more ornate armor, so it's not really unique. But it is what the Chosen will be getting.

I believe I also remember Mythic saying that humans will do what humans always do to display their status, wear fancier outfits. But Chaos does have the option of mutantions, though they haven't said anything about that. I also read that there will be 4 trophy slots you can fill as you level up.

Mutations are for the marauders I do believe. Trophies that you can actually put on your armor will be earned through the rvr elements such as how many kills you have and such. I do believe there is a trophy system for each faction which will most likely be original for each faction.

Which god is it that the dark elves are devoted to?

Khaine, except for the Cult Of Slannesh. I hope I don't have to say which god the cult is devoted to. :)

After doing the screenshot contest on warhammer vault I saw a lot of cut off hands in the Chaos Screens...SO, maybe you collect hands to wear around on your belt ? That would be badass

All characters will be allowed to wear war trophies, and not just hands either.

I am well aware of that thank you. My belief was that each race has their own form of trophies. For example, greenskins get beards (from RvR-not PvE encounters).

edit: I should have made my original post more clear. Chaos could possibly be getting hands to wear around their belts. there you go.

That would be stupidly restricting, because you won't be fighting just your adjecant enemy realm, you will be fighting all of them.

How so? Dwarfs, Humans, Elfs, actually I am pretty sure every character in the game has hands. Anyway it's probably something more like if you kill a dwarf you can collect it's beard, if you kill an Empire human you collect a hand, you kill a Elf you cut off it's ears...etc.

Bitz will most likely vary according to how you earned them. Ie if you killed a ton of Stunties a beard bitz might be the trophy/award. Kill off hordes of humans might get you a nice skull or two. Kill off fellow Chaos members might just get you some sort of purity seal or other posh item. Green skins could get you teeth or even possibly a stuffed squig.

The possibilities are endless to this regard. All I know is the rewards/trophies will most like reflect on what you killed to get them instead of a generic award/trophy. If I'm an Stuntie and I see a Ork covered with beards odds are I will attack the other Ork that has a few skulls on him since he most likely doesn't know 100 different ways to pwn me with in the first 10secs. (crosses fingers)

Then again, I could be going up an expert Ork slayer that is using the human skull thing to sucker me into a fight. You just never know.

Indeed. And of course heads, the orcs we have seen have the entire dwarf head as the trophy, and the Chosen concept art has an Imperial head on his shoulder spike.

i saw a vid off youtube with one of the Devs saying that you could attach skulls tusks and served head and even beards to your armor.
