View Full Version : One of the shaman's Tactics?
Pass It On
5 slots
All of your Healing spells gain a 20% chance to also heal an additional friendly target within 30 feet of your original target.
5 slots, does that mean you could make it 100%? 20/40/60/80/100?
If so, thats pretty nuts!
Saw it on http://www.war-resource.com/careers/shaman.php#videos all the way at the bottom.

i think its kinda like the Earthfury bonus if u ever played WoW for shaman which is basically heal bounces and i think its 5 tactic slots meaning that this move is just 20% but who knows maybe im a idiot and im completely wrong =X
Edit -> by 20% i didnt mean moral ability i meant it will only have 20% effictiveness so it wont stack

You guys sorely need to read up on tactics. You are thinking of morale skills, and that is a tactic. Tactics are passive buffs, you have 6 and eventually 7 slots for them. They take up multiple slots depending on the tactic. Morale skills have are active abilities that use the morale bar instead of AP. You have 5 morale skill slots, 20%/40%/60%/80%/100%.

It costs 5 out of your 7 slots. So no, you can't have multiple of it.

didn't they state @ one of the interviews that they reamped the tactic and moral system ?
tactics only cost 1 slot now, you get like 4 tactic slots etc. the "old" system where you have to buy down tactics for it to use less slots has being removed ( it's in 1 of those Waaagh thingy vid's about career's etc)

I just really hope that tactic targets people who need the HP rather than randomly

Caracca is correct.
Tactics are passive buffs that can be easily interchanged between a bank of 18 chosen tatics. Each class has exactly 30 possible tatics, 18 of which are chosen by the end of the game.
You have 4 (last known amount, likely to change) slots in which tactics can be placed. Once placed, a tactic immediately gives you it's benefit, and that benefit lasts until you remove said tactic. Last word is that tactics may be changed as long as you have not entered battle for 5 minutes. So, their very easy to switch around, although not on the fly.
That tactic is from the old system, where tactics start off taking a large amount of slots, and as you level you may choose to make them cost less and less slots.

The new tactic system:
As you rank up but not every rank you might gain a tactic point. If you want you can then go spend your tactic point on one of the tactic abilities if you so wish; and you can aquire a maximum of 18 our of 30 of the tactics in your tree. Each tactic ability only costs ONE POINT.
Then for examples sake: a little hotbar next to your morale indicator and it has a maxiumum of 7 little squares on there (start off with 4, able to gain up to a maximum of 7 spots).
Then say your going into a city raid; you might want to put the tactics you have that are best suited for city raiding (as long as you have spent the point in them). You would then say drag the little icon of the ability in the tactic tree onto that little hot bar and there you have it your character should be experiencing the buff or benefit from that tactic now.
And some of them might take up two or more tactic slots but that just means out of the maximum of 7 slots that you can have active at one time.
it DOES NOT mean to get the ability requires you to spend 2 points or more.

They also showed in a recent video that you can create presets for your tactics. So you can basically have multiple bars already set up for different purposes and quickly switch between them. Not sure if it was key bound or a drop down menu but either way would be really nice for fast and easy switching.

Fast and easy switching is possible only if you are few minutes aout of combat. Last time 5 min was mentoied if I remeber right :)
