View Full Version : No '# pots made' through butchery?

Am I correct in assuming that there is absolutely no mob type currently in existence to butcher the ingredients to 'increase number of potions made' from?

1-40 Order I have not encountered a single beast which drops said material. This afternoon I scoured over the better part of T4 Destro just to see if it was something I missed, like unicorns. Nadda.

Squig bits, or at least the 175 skill ones. It confused me for awhile since they say "Larger" in the description so I thought it was for potion duration, but they increase amount made.

Ahh, I knew I forgot to mention something in the original post.

Yes, Squig Bits can increase the yield in potion making; however, in my experience, they destroy the duration or volatility of the potion.

Thus far, I have not found a single combination to make 150 Squig Bits increase yield. When I use 175 Squig Bits, I make either two Fleeting or two Volatile. Not exactly what I would consider ideal.

Right now, Apothecary seems really flaky. If you don't mix and match just right, the final results can be weird. For example, last night I made an Intel pot... using a Wisdom MI.

This is mostly my observation and some speculation, but from what I can tell the best potion you can get with just stabilizers is no prefix. If it's not stable enough the potion will be brief, fleeting or volatile. Adding a side ingredient (number or duration) would make it need more stabilizers. I've made some volatile stuff when the bar on the side said it would be a success, and then would add another stabilizer and get two normal 15 minute potions. This was tested with two fortified waters (150 skill), a squig bit, a vendor vial, and a random 150 (or 175, I forget) plant in my inventory.

Also what I noticed is if the squig bit (or any increase amount item) isn't high enough skill, then it wouldn't do anything, which is kinda sad since you can get 30 minute potions with the vendor duration.

In any case, I'd check to see if I wasn't hallucinating back when I tested this but the servers are down at the moment.

But yes, I agree with the flakiness of apothecary. Corporeal resistance plants make toughness potions, which I actually prefer, so I was a little disappointed when I actually found a plant that made a corporeal resistance potion.

Not all ..i dont know exactly but i made corporeal resistance pot with some weed..and later i had weed that supposed to brew into corporreal but got tougness out of it.
unluckly i didnt get name of first one ;/

as for squig ribs <white ones> i used them with vendor mats and didnt get any effect - obiously same with 150-200 lv mats so i guess only the rare ribs do something

Did some testing on Squig Bits earlier. The results were... consistent.

This is correct and I can attest to that since i just did this yesterday using my level 175 squig bits.

yeah...this is where cultivation shines, 175 Dappled clubmoss, once you get enough of these seeds you're seemingly set for life with yield mats

For the 150 squig bits you have to find an ingredient that only need 1 stabilizer and 2 of the 150 squig bits. That will create 2 pots.
