They are Black Guards. Stubborn in the TT. Hate everyone. Wear Heavy armor.
The represent the Druchii nobles among the 4 classes, perfect for the tank role that tends to be seen as the leader.

Best possible choice without a doubt.

How suprising xD like not everyone actually expected witch elves to be in but hoped for other classes. Anyway, i'll just say grats to all you witch elf and black guard fans and say im not dissapointed and not suprised at all really even though i hoped for other classes. Black guards work just fine, i hoped for CoK with mounted combat though. I wished for corsairs, but I never expected them and didn't become dissapointed when witch elves was in since i always expected them to be in anyway

Very happy for the Witch Elf fans, and I too was hoping for the Witch Elf as the Dark Elf melee damage-dealing class. I see Xurré and Zoatibix are both very happy about it. In my hours of lurking I have read through many a long post and brilliant arguments by Xurré and I am happy to see they have not been for naught.

Also, congrats to those rooting for Black Guards as well, I am very interested in how they will be played. All's left is to wait for more info on the mechanics of the class.

In any case, I'll be leaving before I'm enslaved.

I will take the opportunity to say "I told you so" when over (well over) half the Dark Elf population is teenage manginas running around in the only T&A class available in the game. :p

I am happy just as a fellow community member for some of the people here who really wanted those two classes but personally I do not think it was possible to pick two worst classes for those slots.

Lore breaking reasons why the MOST paranoid character in all of Warhammer IP would just hand over his personal bodyguards during a *war* to a common noble house. Has absolutely nothing going for it that the Chosen or Black Orc does not have. The armor we see in that pic is actually a Cold One Knight armor that has been slightly modified.

Please read the current WHFB army book: Mal' sends detachments of his guard to fight alongside those nobles who have pleased him or are doing a mission for him.

I love what they've done with the Black Guard look. I've never been overly keen on the figures but I will definately be making a BG alt! Chaos can keep those hulking Chosen.

As to the teenagers...meh...bad/annoying players will turn up in any game. I've run into just as many 'kiddies*' playing WHFB as 40K, when the former is allegedlly for the more mature and thoughtful gamer.

Yes, they are repeating mechanics but with twenty-four classes they were going to have to do that. I'm not in the least surprised.

They're the Long Arm of Malekith. While they fight for your house thier loyalties lie unreservedly with the Witch King and if you mess up, they'll let you know :D

And it's Black Guard armour, but with a bit more metal and a less cloth. Also it's gimmick was such an easy sell, I even said I bet Black Guard will be in, and have eternal hatred.

I was right on the hat too.

Male Dps, there is still the ranged dps class, of course there will be a young audience wanting to play a witch elf but they won't stay on it for long just get past tier 2 and only the dedicated players, because well to be honest if they want to play a witch elf because they are barely clothed then you seriously think they would spend more time trying to get to endgame rather then gazing at them and trying to get them into weird positions?

I heard something that the dwarf leaders personal guard was a playable career too so why not destruction have it too? also it wouldn't surprise me if the mixed put cold one knights armour on the black guard at least it keeps the cold one knight fans somewhat happy :P
