Wish they would have just announced all the classes this past week. Shadow Warrior is what I want to play and if they aren't in I need to rethink my options.

It's going to be O.K. The game does not come out till 2008. Last time I checked 2008 did not start for 3 more months. You have plenty of time for options.(unless you meant the option of another game) But, even then nothing new worth playing coming out this year anyway.

I am just really afraid they are going to either not put shadow warriors in, make them melee dps, or give them a lame pet to make them a pet class. :(
i've got money on shadow warrior becoming the ranged dps, there hardly going to become melee dps. but saying that all ranged dps have abilitys to do damage at melee. possibly that they will give them a pet as theres only one career atm with a pet. but if they make them like a 'hunter' they run the risk of millions of legolas clones running about like in other mmo's...

I really hope they don't give them a pet. If they are in at all that is.
I hope it goes like this:
Swordmaster : Tank
Archmage : Nuker / Support
Whatever : Melee DPS
Shadow Warrior : Ranged DPS
Who needs a pansy pet class and even if we do have to have a pet class who is to say it can't be the melee DPS.

As long as they don't make Shadow Warriors a pet class I'll be happy. I hate pet classes with a passion. But I'd really love to play a pure archer, if they get stuck with a pet I might pick a different class.

Omg if shadow warriors ride eagles like magus ride disk that would be a MAJOR downer.

If it means anything, I hope you get you class, just a little advise, don't wear your hood around a Dwarf, we might mistake you for a human lass, and we wouldn't want that now would we

The eagle looked more like a mount to me.

Wasn't an eagle at all. Look at the text. Warhawk. Warhawk=Wood Elf. Warhawk=/=High Elf.

That is a Wood Elf, he has the wild spiked hair, which High Elves do not have, and look at his bow, it has the little sticks/leaves coming out of the shaft, which most WE's bows have, plus the Warhawk's head is adorned with Asrai-esque armor.

There are in fact high elf great eagle units though, which is where the pet class speculation about shadow warriors having a eagle pet comes from. :(

Yes, but no one is commanding the eagle, from what I've read it's actually a rather smart being who fights for the elves on it's own accord, not because there is some guy with a whip going "Attack the orc, loyal eagle companion!".
I hope the melee dps class is the pet class...

Traditionally though, the only Elves who can speak with the Great Eagles are a few Loremasters.

I wouldn't find it too surprising if they announced that they're still trying to pick them, the careers I mean.

I would. It takes a really long time to do concept art, tweak concept art, do more concept art, do the first renders, do more concept art, do more renders and concept art, decide on the core mechanics, make all the skills, make all the armor, and still have time to balance the armor and skills for a long time in beta. If they didn't have their classes picked out a year ago, I will be highly dissapointed.
