No offense to all you playing them but the animations look HORRIBLE!(Watch the gameplay vid?) I hope this deters a large majority of people who want to play them so I can sit back and play with some normal people, not pervs and small kids. I don't mind the class if its rare but Id hate to roll DE and see a million manginas running around me. Thats just bad newzzz.

Im sure some devs read it and might be like " hrmmm the players really dont like this animation so much" Just compare swordmaster and witch elf attacks on the front page here. Maybe youll change your mind then. With all honesty i dont like the class anyway but I dont like the animations either.

No, actually constructive criticism works like this. You point out a flaw, and then you detail how to improve it. All I hear is complaints about something still in development, that they've only seen from a camcorder.

Sounds like a bash and a complaint to me. If he wants to discuss the complaint/animations, their are like five other treads for that.

Honestly, man. This is beta. Why do these people expect to see a finish product when Mythic is months away from release?

This ranks right up there with the complaint about the WP Video and his only words were "You There!". Admittedly that annoyed me all to hell, but still like that voice and these animations, they are place holders and expected to be improved upon.

I hear that, maybe i ranted a bit. I wont go into why I dont like the class but heres why I dont like the animations. It seems sluggish, slow, blunt(Ud expect the class to be smooth), and the hunch thing is kinda wierd too. Its a chick not the hunchback from notre damme. You look at the swordmaster and he gots some sick flowing strikes with his sword. His dragon strike and multi attack looked ideal imo.

You do realise that the animations were made pre-alpha, so of course they have been improved upon by now.

I don't see the sense in needlessly whinging about a class. Mythic isn't going to allow animations to be bad, not with Warhammer enthusiasts and GW working with them.

Animators don't directly import into the game, they build the animations in programs such as 3DsMAX, Poser, or Carrara. They make place holders early after the models have been rigged. While the game in in beta phase the animations are then refined, and made more fluid, At this point in WAR, they are around 90% with the complete anaimations, as well as NPC animations, though, these animations are not in the game yet. In the final stages, the animation scripts will be put in (or may be in now). Then, before the game goes live the server gets shut down, and all the finished animations will be imported in. This may require a client up date, and the server to be down for a while, thus making it low on the beta priorities.

How is it even remotely constructive? You start off with calling the Witch Elves lame, in the thread title. It is almost as if I ended up on the WoW forum by mistake. The developers will not even read your post or will simply shake their heads because it wasn't in any way constructive. There are better ways to talk about it, and this wasn't and isn't the way. And really, can people for once be happy with Mythic even showing us unfinished careers, instead of bashing it to pulp?
