Does Butcher lvl effect drops?

Im in tier 2 and ive even tried going back to tier 1 and I still get drops for lvl 75 and 100 apoth. Once inawhile I get a 50 lvl drop in tier 2 or a 30 in tier 1 but its rare. Im currently lvl 55 in apoth but its to expensive to grind on merchant regents.

I know im atleast 77 but it may be 80 in butch since it lvls so fast compared to my apoth skill.

Do i need to go back to butchering lvl 1?

I wanted to get some lvl 25 stuff when my skill was in the late 90's. I just kept killing lower and lower stuff till I started getting the drops I wanted. Then I would end up getting a lot of lvl 1 stuff and some of the stuff I wanted. I am sure that your skill level affects what you get, but I believe that each mob can only drop certain items.
I would check WARDB and find mobs that drop the items you are looking for and then go find them. If all else fails, since you won't get xp for stuff that is too low for you anyways, just roll and alt to farm lower level butchering items with. That will also give your main some rested xp. That's what I ended up doing.
