200 curios and gold essence

Im looking for a place to grind out level 175-200 gold essences and curios on my swordmaster. I've just spend a couple of hours in one of the high elf chapt 22 pqs grinding scavenge but got more apocerathy stuff than talisman making :(

Can anyone reccomend a good solo grind spot for this? preferably one where the mobs dont disarm or knockdown! Thanks!

As a talisman maker I can tell you that 200 curios / gold essence are 99% useless at the moment. I can get a +19 perm wounds talisman (the best available talisman) by using a 150 white curio and a 150 gold essence.

Granted, I do need a 200 magic essence for that but it's not a problem because I get 2 of them for each salvaged item (IE 2 for each fragment I get, so I basically have an unlimited supply of 200 magic essence).

You can make +20 permanent wounds.

As far as I know higher level stuff increase chance of a "better" crit and the quality of items increase chance of "awesome" crit so trying to make some +20 wounds, or +19/20 of any other stat would make those things useful.

Seriously I like Chapter 22 Caledor PQs. Easy mobs.

I wonder if the same holds true for Destruction..The High Elf mobs that I am grinding on tend to drop cultivating stuff 75% of the time as well.

Bastions stair, right side. best place to farm imo.

Grab the Artisans gift, run up the right side till u reach a group of about 12 normal mobs. they respawn about every 6-7 minutes. I've solo farmed Paragons ashes up there, rhinox horns and the blue 200 heart curios. Also you get 175/185 waters.

They must have fixed this because I could only get 150's off of them. They don't drop any white mats though. Only Green and up so a decent place for water and 150's.

Anyone know where to get 200 curios?

I would assume people that Scavenge in dungeons off that lvl 42-43 mobs get the lvl 200 curios...

I don't think you can get them off regular mobs out in the world at all any more...

I received afew 200 Curio's off of random lvl 40 Champions in High Elf chap 22 area, in fact the 2 of them were very rare.

Hate helping order, /spit but if you can kill gnoblars in thunder mountain in the pq there stage two they drop paragons ashes, i get almost a stack a day there if im on

Havent had much luck with the normal mobs in bastion right wing either. Dont see how artisans gift would help improve drop rate chances. But I guess its worth a shot when I try again.

After about an hour or so in right wing Bastion, I had

1 stack effervesent water
1 stack Sparkling Water
2 stacks Fortified Water

5 200 blue curios( this was lucky due to many prior attempts and not seeing a single one)
1/2 stack flawless gold dust

and a variety of other 150/175 talisman stuff

also had some watering cans.

That's not entirely true Innov. The PQ Zoream is tallking is called Gutbashed Gnoblars. Even though Order players can't actually do the PQ itself you can make it progress to the next stage.

First thing to do as order is to fly to Black Crag. Go North through the RvR lake into TM and head left out into the PvE area. The PQ is right there next to exit. If you see a bunch of ogres called Gutbash Gnobleaters you're in the right place. If you are on a core server and you are worried about being ganked just log out and log back in in the PvE area. You need to kill 50 ogres to make the pq advance to the next stage but there will not be any tooltip to show the progress. Just keep killing until they dissappear and mobs called Groincrunchers come out of the pits in the area. These are what you need to kill. Respawn rate is quite fast.

Nice post, I wasn't there long enough before having to defend against a Magus since i was RvR flagged, hell i got about 6k RP before they brought so many i couldn't hit and run.

I will try this tonight. Great info.
