sorry this is probably something completely obvious but i was just curious...

what does it mean on the KotBS description when it says "If you are able to strike down the Knight, his allies will become demoralized and weakened by panic – making them far easier to defeat."

will party members actually get debuffed when they die if so that would be pathetic me and my friend have been speculating about it and would appreciate more info on the matter

A short term panic would be nice as it would also lead others into the support of the knight and make it a more desirable target, a good way to promote solid PvP tanking.

yeah im sure you're right that it gives more incentive to keep the tank/buffer alive

My guess is that passage refers to a morale buff. A team with morale buffed out the wazoo would be pretty dangerous. When the knight dies, that morale buff is gone and everybody's morale would drop.

A debuff on death would be bad game design, imo.

We already know that the KBS's gimmick is group buffs. We can assume that any competent knight will be using these buffs, so if he dies the group effectively becomes debuffed. I'm pretty sure that's what the class page is getting at with that flowery description.

As to what the KBS's buffs actually do, we don't know. All we have is a statement from Mythic that it's a viable playstyle to focus primarily on using them at key moments, so we can assume they're pretty strong. Anything else at this point is conjecture.

I'd be very surprised if a debuff was actually applied to the group members. It would certainly be an interesting mechanic though. They'd have to do a good job of making sure the KotBS was worth the risk too.

Why is that?

They're officers/commanders in the game, so I suppose that would carry over to their purpose within the guild hierarchy?

Most of the guild leaders I've seen have been tanks and healers, classes that generally work best in combination with others. So I suppose it is only logical they create a guild.

I would say if KotBS give a debuff to any allies near them when they die, it will be more of not trying to protect them but instead when there healths low get out the of general area of the KotBS so you do not get the debuff :p.
