Can't you just read a dictionary?

Hehe. This reminds me of the people who are calling Zealots "Zeee lots" like its some new word with a fancy pronunciation.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

I still remember the days back in Starcraft when idiots kept saying Protoss "Zee-lot".

For Tzeentch's sake people, BUY YOUR CHILDREN DICTIONARIES. It will help THIS world out a lot, and we will thank you for it!

Hey, I had a 'Zeel'-adin in Diablo 2. Or at least that's what I called him.

See it's that root word Zeal (zēl) that gets people messed up.

That's what you get when you speak a sucky language where the written language only vaguely resembles the spoken language.:twisted:

Sad. But I know sadder. One guy I knew pronounced paladin as if it was "paddlin"

He would say things like, "I really like my paddlin" and I would think he was into spankings or something.

Some of those Tzeentchian names like the Champion Tchar'zanek are a real mouthful. But I guess you get weird names produced when most of your forces have cloven or forked tongues and all manner of other mutations that might make it hard to speak properly. :)

You want a hard to pronounce name? How about
WARLORD GHAZGHKULL MAG URUK THRAKA

or how about
WURRZAG UD URA ZAHUBU?

Or hell, you can even take Tradelord Greasus Tribestealer Drakecrush Hoardmaster Goldtooth the Shockingly Obese out for a spin.

I feel delighted that u come 2 the Magus forums for spelling and engish lessons and generally 2 try correct the idiotcy that ur order side suffers from, but we r however chaos sorcerers and not primary school teachers. perhaps u should try the High elf forums.

Haha. I have a guildmate who used to say "Skalad" like Salad instead of "Skald" when DAoC came out. He'll never live that one down.

I dare you to pronounce my name correctly.

Ahamix

I love when people talk about melee'ing something (correctly pronounced mey-ley) but they say me-lee. Another bad pronunciation of Paladin would be (puh-lad-in). Then there is always Ahamix which I like to pronounce (aha-mix) not (ay-ham-ux)

To note, Tzeentch is pronounced "zeench".

And according to Paul, "beta" is pronounced "beeta".

I've always heard it more as "zeech", without the N.

Depends on how quickly you pronounce it, I suppose. The N can just blend into the "CH" sound.

I pronounce the first T in Tzeentch as well, but softly. The n is definitely audible.

I used to pronounce Tzeentch as Tee-zeen-nitch. Really I should blame my mate who got me into Warhammer as he would always pronounce stuff wrong.
