Fleeing abilities need only do one thing. Make it possible for you to get range on your target so you can continue killing him from a distance. It looks to me every time this Squigg Herder gets into a spot where he has to use one he dies. Maybe Squigg Herder fleeing abilities don't measure up to a Shamans???

its REALLY REALLY hard to judge these types of things unless you are assuming that every squig herder will be solo, which with me won't be the case, i'll have me and my guildies together all the time, so if i get into trouble you can bet money that my guildies will be helping me out so i can get back to hide off in the distance and do more damage :)
all the videos i see of any class right now its hard to really say, because there really isn't much organization, its hard to have a bunch of people sit down infront of a pc, get control of 10 level 30 or 40 characters and be experts at them :), i think open beta will help with this type of 'balance' tho if there are actual problems.

That guy didnt use anything but run and shoot, he didnt even use escape abilities, i doubt he even had more than 10 abilities to use at whatever gameday event he was in and he probably was not familiar with his keyboard setup to even effectively use those, plus he was outnumbered most of those times

Eva Vix video is a really good one, its the only one with a decent amount of team work going on, and if you watch that one you can see exactly as you point out that sit and range and do damage, granted he forgot he had a squig for some of it but thats ok.
Also he does use the flee ability there is one other video ill have to find it that shows it and you can see that he out runs everything and easily gets distance.

Everone has the Flee ability, every single class has it, it makes you move faster by taking your action points away from you, thats why its called Flee, cos if you run into battle using it your gonna get there with no Action Points whatsoever.

Are you saying everyone has a general talent for Fleeing or are you refering too
Run Away!?1400-166 ftOrders your pet to Taunt all enemies near it, making them hate it more and reducing the damage they deal to everyone else for 10 seconds. During this time, your run speed is greatly increased, but will return to normal if you take any actions.
That is what I was talking about I thought that was a Squig Herder only ability.

That is SH only, but everyone also has an ability called 'flee', formerally 'sprint' that makes you run faster but drains AP.

I understand that but which one is the OP talking about, to me it seems like the skill will work just fine as long as you have a squig out to use it, but I cant comment if its just the regular Flee skill.
