I guess this falls under the suggestions category. It's not exactly suggesting anything about the patch but about the PTS itself. Anyways I'll get to the point...

I have noticed some posts saying T3 and T4 are empty on the PTS making people unable to actually test the patch well. One of the main things that made WoW's PTR's hugely successful is that they started adding Pre-made characters that had the best armor and caused everyone to be in the same BG levels. That would solve the problem of not enough people being in the same Tier. The only problem this would bring though is tons and tons of people that don't know how to play their classes so might i suggest put a limit on it. Allow them to only create a premade class of a class they have in T3 or T4. Tell me what you think :-)

that would be awesome i really wanted to try a couple careers at higher lvl's but got too bored of them . But however i think pre made characters would be an awesome idea in test servers :D.

every other game i have been in, that has a test server which is temporary... has had a terminal or a quest person of sorts ... so that you can gear and set your char level to a certain tier .. for testing in that area ...

the char copy is nice ... but not everyone has a char in that range.

Personally, I would like to see a test server setup like they did in DaoC, because it gives you the ability to test everything. EG: max level with basic gear, you gotta work for the gear, but you can try different builds/specs, makes it easier to test mechanics and all tiers can be tested.

Pre-mades are a difficult thing because I remember in WoW when they did premades. What happened wasn't testing, but lots of players running around dueling, playing new things and posting "such and such class needs a nerf/buff." This caused enourmous information overload and made it difficult to filter out useful information.

cant duel in warhammer though so not really an issue.

would be interesting though along this line of thought to have the option of having your level increased in scenarios, say while qued for the scenario you can buy all your skills so long as you remained in a warcamp or chapter hub.

this way ppl have time to arrange their hotbars before the scenario starts, but they wont be able to take advantage of it outside of a scenario

though . . . that might take a lot of code :p perhaps next time heh

Well on the plus side you're able to see if your class picks up at the endgame, and people can try out BWs and see if they're really that overpowered... or see if healing really gets nerfed for people in the endgame who can spec into healing

on the downside, if you dont' know how the class plays, it impairs people from being able to test out the changes

You can put practices and methods in place to deal with Information Overload. In fact, it's not that hard.

What is hard however is getting a real understanding of the problems when the majority of players don't have the same (or even similar) point of reference to the developer.
