View Full Version : Will the Magus be able to move while casting like the BW.

Will magus's be able to move while casting like the BW was able to at GDUK. I personnaly think that moving while casting would certainly fit better on the magus, who doesnt even walk, then the BW counterpart. If other casters cant, the BW will be seriosly overpowered, unless the damage is bad, which would be a letdown. Im planing damage wise

It was under my understanding that.. every class and cast and run?Well.At least, I heard that if you start casting something (standing stll), you're allowed to take a few steps before it cancels it?I thought that went for everyone?

The Magus has some instant spells that can be used while moving. All of the rest are canceled when you move.
Most of the Magus spells known so far are not instant spells and can therefore not be cast while moving.

Want an explanation in regard to lore? Try something like that:
Getting the Disc to move requires even more concentration in order to keep it under control than usual, so you can't concentrate on the more complicated spells :D
I just made that up, but it sounds plausible ;)

Devs have stated that one of their main strategies with WAR is to keep Crowd Control abilities to a minimum.

One of the nice things about being able to cast some spells while running is that allows for the devs to make the soft classes less dependent on CC. We don't have to choose between standing there helplessly while casting or running for our lives and accomplishing nothing.

I realize that many abilities will require the Magus (or the Squig Herder :rolleyes:) to stand still but I'm hoping that there will be three or four things I can do while running about like a maniac.

They have instant casts for when they cant just stand there but you can cast while running. The BW can cast some spells while moving but he is also more of a squishy then the magus, the Disk attacks anyone that gets to close and thay also have more HP and armor from what ive heard.

This may mean several different things:

1. Seriously! The disc really does attack people who get near the Magus!

2. Are you serious? Does the disc really attack people?

3. I'm serious about attacking the disc.

4. I seriously have a disc attacking my eye! AAaaAAaaAAaaaaah!

There is a 60 minute buff which makes the disc attack any melee character hitting on you (no pun intended). ;)
