I think the addition of siege towers would help melee have more of a roll in keep capture. Not sure how this can be done in a limited enough way that it doesn't bypass the doors but currently melee is pretty much useless except for bashing their heads against the door which yields no exp or renown. If they are easy enough to choke off this will give defending melee something to do as well.

Another thing is that I feel doors have a bit too much hp.

Melee attackers have a more limited role than Melee defenders. Defenders can always sally forth from a postern door tor the like to harass the sieging force, but the attackers cannot do much save operate siege engines or wail on the doors.

Perhaps Orcapults should be added to the game? A chance to lob a character (melee would be the natural choice) onto or over the walls... with a chance they will hit and go splat of course. :p
