Leveling Butchering on Open RVR

Ok, so I've switched from scavaging to butchering since I can buy all kinds of scavaging stuff from the AH and absolutely no butchering stuff for my cultivator - I figured I'd just find it myself.

Now, the problem is that I've killed tons of L11-ish animals, and I'm still sitting at level 3 of butchering, and I'm getting a *lot* of junk results (which I'm guessing is because I'm too low-skilled). Are there any options for those of us on Open RvR servers (where I can't go back to T1), or am I doing something wrong?

I'm a moron....

Apparently, to increase your butchering skill, you just have to butcher animals close to your character level, not close to your level of the butchering skill. The skill just seems to limit how good of items you can get off the target...

So, no problems doing it on an open server. Up to 7 already killing wolves around Avelorn. I guess I won't be AOE-farming mobs at the beginning of T2, but at least I can do it.
