How will people get into Scenarios? Will it be like WoW where there is a battle master where you can pop into the one you choose at any time? Do you have to go to a specfic place to get into it?

There will be NPCs standing around - within the tier of the specific scenario though, I don't think there will be a massive amount of battlesmasters standing around at the capital city, there are just too many scenarios for that. They will set you up for the queue and once there are enough players, you get a message and are able to join via a click onto the button.
Basically, it works like WoW's battlemasters.
Or that's the way it worked at GC ;)

Aye, at chicago games day, you had an NPC that acted almost like a battle master, but you dont have to go to a diff battle ground master for a diff battle ground....The way it was set up (dunno if it has changed or not) is that you had the NPC you clicked on, then chose from a number of different scenario's. (Course, the dev's made us choose a specific one for the sake of instant play, but hey).

There certainly won't be battlemasters in cities as they're using Scenarios as one of the functioning systems to get people to move from zone to zone in the campaign.

When a zone is captured, the scenarios in the zone shut down and the scenarios in the next zone down the line of the battlefront open up. If there were simply battlemasters in the city, then there would be no movement across zones. Additionally, keeping the access to the scenarios by the RvR areas themselves encourages skirmishes and battles to take place in the open world over the battlefield objectives.

The method the above poster mentioned is likely for demos only. As I doubt they'll let you que for Ekrund from Norsca. Atleast I'd hope not.

I doubt also that there wont be any battlemasters in Cities. Well except city scenario battlemasters (if there is any)

I doubt that EAMythic is stupid enough to fill their cities with players that just wait in Scenario queues doing nothing.

BTW 1 reason that killed WoWs Open World PvP.

Well they say that if you have half an hour before dinner that you can get a couple done, I dont see this being possible if you have to travel to them + Travel back when you are done. Some may not like the idea of battle master but it would make it alot easier.

What I have heard that Battlemasters are in Battle Camp -> in RvR area. Its guarded with NPC guards. Probably place where is also "travel points"

It should not be huge problem to travel there.
And If you dont have more than 30min for game a day... well why you even play MMORPGs.

easy and better solution: have fast travel options

Thats fine that you travel to a battle camp with the battle master and its not in the captial but if the scenarios are for speific areas like WoW had them, I dont want to travel the entire zone even with travel points it will take longer.

I do get more than 30 minutes a day, I am just quoting what they said, and wondering if that is how they are going to accomplish that. However if on a day I dont get alot of play time I can sneak in 30 minutes and be able to do a scenario that is awesome. WoW it could be hard to do that, Games could take longer with the exception of AB, the que may never come up in that time etc.

All of the scenarios so far in WAR have time limites. Most (if not all) are set at 15 minutes at the moment. The que is a valid concern. But the important emphasis here is that the Scenarios are closer to the RvR action and not further from it. By being "forced" to hang around the camp waiting for ques, you're more likely to actually go open world RvR.

It's no different than when AV was first introduced and there was no que in IF. You actually had to go to to the entrance. There would be a ton of skirmishes between sides all the time in between ques.

Additionally, you mentioned the time travelin back... why would you not just log out at the War camp? Log on, travel there, do a scenario or two, then log out.

True but you tend to get more rewards for Scenarios than for World PvP or I would think so, you are gaurnteed to find people and get kills.

Travel time is still a concern yes you could log out there, but its been mentioned that there will be rest xp, so if you cant log out at a war camp and get rest XP then you are wasting your leveling efforts when you are doing either PvE or PvP and slowing your progress down, that is up in the air since we dont know where Rest xp will be at or if its anytime you log out, or anything like that.

Que shouldnt be an issue in WAR with the Dogs of War, if 5-6 people register and they set a time limit of if X amount of people dont join by X time then they fill in the rest so they should be shorter or so I hope, plus it all being based on RvR I am hoping more people will do them than the BGs of WoW.

I plan on doing World PvP alot too, but for those of us who get 2-3 hours a day, and some days that get no time at all, I personally like to get the most out of the time I am on, tradionally World PvP/RvR hasnt been that great its harder to find people, less kills, less xp, less renown. If WAR changes that then most of this is mute.

I had thought there was mention of Scenario access being within an open-world RvR zone? Maybe that was from an old interview and that's since been changed.

Personally, my worry with Scenarios is whether or not a guild or group will be able to get in together, and whether or not Scenario 'matches' can occur. For instance, if my guild wants to fight a specific guild, and the timing is coordinated, will that be possible? I think that'd be a lot of fun in a 6v6 or 12v12 Scenario.

Knew there was an answer to this somewhere (http://www.war-resource.com/richard_duffek_q_and_a.php).

Q) How will we join Scenarios? Will you have to travel to an entrance to that Scenario, or will there be a central location where you can join the queue for Scenarios?

A) You will have to go to your army's War Camp associated with a given scenario to enter it.

No sitting around in capital cities waiting for scenarios to start up. If you want to PvP, head to an RvR zone and get your hurt on.

I really doubt that Guild vs Guild will ever be in WAR. You very well know that WAR is RvR game. There is games like Guild Wars that are for pure GvG action.
You might get some privacy in Open World RvR area, far away from battle objectives and common places. But closed battle I doubt.
