Oh man, I'm so looking forward to this. I love the Wizard of Oz.

Went to see Wicked over this past summer, too. Amazing show. Can't wait for this.

I love the Wizard of OZ too but this will be nothing like that. You understand this right?

Here is a trailer (http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/10/07/scifis-tin-man-trailer-video/)

My first thoughts on seeing this were.....The Wiz! :p

Im not really fond of taking beloved stories, ripping the magic of the story out, only leaving the bare skeleton, and then inserting it into a totally new (and completely different) body. This reminds me of Marky Marks Planet of the Apes. /sigh

I really like Neal McDonough though, a great actor. Why didnt they make a series out of White Dwarf (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=990CE4DB1039F930A15756C0A9639582 60)(this was an interesting world!) instead of an OZ remake.

Yeah, I know - it's gonna be like the Alice in Wonderland version of The Wizard of Oz. Which is okay by me, because I love Alice in Wonderland too. >_>

Wow. The dialog in the trailer is painfully bad.

"The O-Z" -- You gotta be kidding me.

This is going to be a steaming pile.

It will be a glittery and brightly colored steaming pile, but a steaming pile nonetheless.

Im not really following the comparison because this rethinking of OZ is more like near future Scifi than Alice in Wonderland

I'm referring to the head trip that Alice in Wonderland was.

Looks like poop.
And Alice in Wonderland was a traumatizing experience for a child.
It was for me... *shudders* Oh the memory's
*lies in fetal position*
