Ok, so this months new letter should be coming out soon, anyone think it will include further information on the Archamge? Would be nice if they could give us a list of skills or maybe a short gameplay vid or something. This forum is dead because we have nothing to talk about. And honestly i would like to have something to talk about in this forum to kill the next month or so while I wait for the beta to reopen, in which case ill be able to try it out for myself and let u all know how it plays and whatnot.

I was also wondering, becuase this is my situation. I would like to play a nuker/healer type class because in my mmo history all ive played was melee dps. So, im almost positive im playing archmage, w/ a slight chance of shaman if my friends and i roll destruction instead. But what i was wondering is, r u guys nearly certain ur playing archmage or is it likely ull change if a class like white lions is introduced?

or were u in the beta before now lol???? im confused so ya but ya that would be nice and usually i think what they do is come out with somthing about each race every mouth for example...

Unfortunately you're going to have to "let us know" in very general terms if you're playing the beta, since NDA is still very much so in effect. The worse bit is, that we can say stuff we know by quoting sites like War-Resource.com but if you, as a beta player, do it, it's breaking the NDA. I'm quite surprised they even let war-resource list all of this information, granted, I believe most of it they get by just painstakingly reading the tiny print in the videos they see..since they somehow have ability information for Swordmasters and Witch Elves, which I don't believe players have been able to play yet.

If we want to play a magic caster class, why would we switch to a White Lion? That doesn't really make sense to me.

There is nothing wrong with what war-resource does, so I don't see why Mythic would even be against it. Most of the information comes from people who have played the game at the conventions. And yes, the Swordmaster and Witch Elf information most likely comes from checking the videos they have shown us at the GC in Leipzig.

No, this newsletter will not contain new information about the Archmage. We don't even get skill information of other careers either, unless people decipher videos when Mythic feels like showing it to gaming sites or fansites at conventions. But otherwise, it is very doubtful you will be getting a skill list of the Archmage, not even when they show the career in the newsletter. They haven't done this in the past, so I don't see why they would start doing this now. This month's newsletter will be about the Swordmaster, as mentioned in the previous newsletter.

Also, as Dastion has mentioned, you aren't allowed to say anything about the game when you are in beta. So when you can play the Archmage in December, don't post anything about them here with the knowledge you have gained by playing them in beta. Being in beta can be fun but also a burden, it is extremely easy to say something that can be seen as a breach of the NDA. Always make sure that whatever you say, when you keep on posting here when in beta, to check if that information has been made available at a convention or through interviews.

They have shown gameplay videos of swordmaster and witch elf in an interview with paul and jeff. They show about 5-7 moves of each in game and descriptions. I sure hope this newsletter reveals classes, i dont care aobut moves as i can test them in beta i just want to make sure i get what a want (Anointed or Bloodpriest)

They'll show Shadow Warriors and Sorcerors this newsletter, as that is what's most anticipated by the community. It will then allow for a climactic finish with the White Lion and Shade (Or the other ranged dps class for DE).

Actually, there is in WAR. Mythic has been given permission to ignore the prophecy of Malekith, and in effect, reverting back to 5th edition.

ya i know, basically all they really let me say is whether its good or bad imo, haha. And there is a video of an interview where one of the Mythic producers lists off some swordmaster and which elf abilities.

Well, its been said that its going to be Swordmasters, and a new High Elf class, considering they are doing the Chrace elven zone this letter, i'd assume White Lions. But its really just a guess, and probably a bit of hope..

Everyone keeps responding and quoting me then saying, "Oh there is a video interview of Swordmasters and Witch Elves". You failed to notice that I said in the very bit that you quoted that they get most of their ability information by "painstakingly reading the very small print in videos". And I then make a reference to that being where they got the Swordmaster/WE abilities... since there is no other way for them to have gotten it. Trust me, I am well aware of the video :)
