View Full Version : MJ, will "Animation Lag" Be gone in 1.1a? You said it would be.

The final version of the 1.1a Patch Notes will be posted on the Herald very shortly, but I wanted to assure you that the following two bullet points are there:

{li}Improvements have been made to reduce the delay in casting animations. Players should only experience animation delays during periods of high latency.{/li}
{li}Players should no longer experience hitching while rapidly using multiple instant cast abilities.{/li}

Folks,

As some people have reported, we have fixes in but we're not ready to pronounce it "100% fixed" yet. That's why only parts of the fix are mentioned in the player responsiveness section:

"We have added a number of additional features to improve the responsiveness of the game client. These changes include items that will lessen the "Pause" period in casting due to high lag, as well as fixes for a number of animation glitches and issues players experienced while rapidly activating abilities."

Among a couple of other reasons, that is why the patch is 1.1A and we plan on having a 1.1B. :) As I said in another post, it's not a simple fix.

Well 100% fixed or not, it's a hell of a lot better. Thanks.

You're welcome. If we need to continue to improve/tweak it, we will of course. Now that's it live, we'll be able to see how the changes work across all servers under heavy load.
