Well first off I'm torn between Dwarf engineers and the new Shadow warriors =(. However as an engineering student in RL i think i'm gunna go Dwarf engineer. I made this render of the a "Dwarf wheel-lock pistol" as a fan art submission, but unfortunately it wasn't chosen. I made it on autodesk inventor which is designed to make things to exact specifications, i would have preferred to use 3DS max, but i no longer have access to that program. If i did the gun would look much more ornate. http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=7015914

Nice, but isn't the flintlock already invented in the Warhammer world?

You misspelled "teir". The correct spelling is "tier". Just wanted you to know so you can fix it. Other than that, I like the model you designed, good work and nice to see fans putting ideas into reality. =)

While it actually quite nice, I do have some suggestions: Make the barrel all-metal (and/or larger). Dwarfs don't use wood that much, or at least prefer to use metal. It's fine that the handle is wood however, but perhaps you could add something like brass plating for the butt of the handle, and perhaps a few screws in it. As for colours, try making the metal a bit more orangey. Also, it doesn't look like a Dwarf could actually fit his finger on that trigger, might want to modify that a bit.

But the general style, such as the shape of the handle and the lock mechanism and such look fine. A bit of polish, and even a long-beard would be proud to carry that around. (Not really, they're grumpy old buggers, but still)

Dwarfs actually NEVER use wood. They think its too elvish.

Flint-lock or no, stick with the wheel-lock; it just looks so much better...

Thanks for the input guys, I don't know when i'll be able to get around to an updated model. I have access to 3DSmax once again so hopefully i'm not too rusty. I plan to use a bump map to make that dwarven face on the side of the gun look more like it was hammered in rather then how blocky it looks now. Also i dont know about this, but a fire particle effect coming out of the dragon head(which will look MUCH better) might look pretty cool.

If any EA employees are looking at this, comments would be appreciated =)

Much looking forward to seeing the finished version. Also, an idea could be to add another barrel in an over/under configuration, rather than just having one larger barrel.

Sorry, but I had to comment on this :)
That's a bit like saying; "Wood Elves NEVER use wood, they're to concerned for their lovely little trees"..

Do you see my point? ;)

Dude, same here! :D

Should stick with engineers, may not have the range of a Shadow Warrior, but pack a punch (in the form of explosives) at close range.

Also, nice model. I can't make anything like that yet in my class because we're still working with AutoCAD (Inventor isn't 'till next semester). Keep it up. :D
