Technical issues

Good afternoon!

Many players are currently unable to play the game. Problems include;


Inability to patch
Time-out when logging in to server
Players being kicked back to the character select screen


We're investigating this with urgency and we'll update this post with more information as soon as it's available. Apologies for the disturbance.

Update 18:15 CET
Most players should now have full game access restored.

The cause of this issue stem from a router malfunction in France which resulted in many web services - including our game service - became unavailable for patrons outside France. This issue has now been resolved and technicians are naturally working to improve this connection and prevent a similar event from happening again.

Oddly I only get the Log in timed out proplem only on some servers... such as the one I have all my chars on ;__;

Can log on any server but the ones i got chars into.

Can log into any server aside from the one i was playing on when i was kicked (Karak-Norn).

Patcher takes a long time to update, however.

Was on Burlok, kicked from the server and then couldn't log back in even though it showed the server was available.

Other servers I have characters on seem fine, however.

<sigh> You would really think that Companies would learn that patching on a Friday so it can potentially bollox a late night of playing and run on into the weekend when probably the core of support staff is away would be a no no.

With myself and my partner neither of us can access the server select screen after logging into the game.

Only reason for putting patchday on friday must be ... They want the extra overtime payment as its a normal fact a bigger patch make new issues that require several hotfixes :). Only problem beside they get forced to work in weekend is that their playerbase mostly is free in weekends.

they pops when I try to start petcher, and btw I already patched game and it was workind after I stopet p[laying for some time I couldnt enter even patche:

Then after some time of nothing hapening other massage pops up just by it self:

and im trying again and again but nothink. Is this connected to this issue or it is something else ???

best way would be to just let us in passed the patch gatch straight to login, unless the problem is greater than the patch server

you know in other industries you would get some kind of refund or credit for these types of things. I mean you pay for x amount of days subscription, yet those days are timed from the date you activate the time card regardless of how much time the service you are paying for is made unavailable due to no fault of your own...

Very weird... first i had the 'unable to log in' syndrome too, but after a few tries i got connected.

But now everytime i load a new map/zone, may game hangs. Same bug we had for a few hours when 1.05 (i think) went live, untill they put hotfix for it.

I cant start the login window.
I played and i got a crash as i usaly do. But this time i cant log in again. When i start the warpatch.exe nothing happens. I try again and it says like "please ensure the game is not already running and there is free space available on the disk"

So i checked that i have free space on my disk. So i CtrlAlt+Delete - prcesses and i find warpatch.bin running but nothing is showing on my screen.

But other players in my guild patched and can play as nothing happend.

ok well People who cant get on what operating system you on im on XP, maybve something to do with that? Also if you delete the warpatch.bin it remakes itself when you click on the warpatch.exe, I dont kinow what im doing so i dont want to mess around too much :D

patcher wont even load for me, atleast you know its an issue ah well back to Fallout 3 tillits fixed i'll keep an eye out on the forums :D

To be fair mate your lucky if you get the patcher up i cant :D. Its selective between different people its up too goa to find out the pattern and fix it though

Can people say what operating system they run since for my guild people on xo dont have it working properly people on vista do

All servers that demands the click to accept rules: timed out

I've said that myself many times. Mythic is very good at giving precise ETA, and if they approach the ETA and things aren't looking good, they let you know. While GOA gives things like 'lunchtime' or 'evening' as ETAs.

Complete disrespect for paying customers just so they can get away without having to give us regular updates when things take longer than expected. We should be given specific ETAs so we know when we can expect an update, rather than stuck refreshing the home page every 15 minutes or so at 'lunchtime' wondering whether they eat at Noon or 2PM.

something to do with characters people have on some servers im just guessing but i need to hit 38 :) was using ALTAIRE imba power leveluing technique take 1 healer 2 dps a 30+KOBS farm a hard pq watch the exp roll in :)

The problem with this is, they don't know what the issue is. You can't give a precise ETA when you don't even know what the problem is let alone how long it could possibly take to fix once you find it.

I am having troubles logging on to the Burlock server (log in timed out), while a guildie had no problems at all. I can access some other servers without problems though

This is getting tedious now. This is the second time this has happened to me this week. Last time the game crashed and the patcher just went freaky for about an hour, happened to a few of us, but it fixed itself. And now this... getting tedious!

Initial investigations indicated that it was a routing problem that affected all internet traffic in and around France.

We have worked closely with partners and ISP's to help them identify and solve the problem.

The problems seem to be solved and we will continue to monitor the situation and keep you up to date.
